You don’t need to relate to everything about this piece or have been assaulted to read it, and honestly, I really truly hope that this will be a piece nobody relates to, or at least an incredibly niche piece that few relate to, but statistically and experientially, I know that’s probably not the case. I hope that if this is something you’re able relate to or that resonates with you, it helps make you feel a little seen or understood, or less alone and that it brings you some comfort. I realize this won’t necessarily be what everyone needs after something like this, or won’t be what’s needed each time, but if it helps one person then it was worth it.
