Beomgyu bursts into Soobin’s room. He’s fuming with rage. Kai and Yeonjun were there too.
“Why do you look so angry?” Soobin asks. “Kang fucking Taehyun happened,” Beomgyu replies.
“Come on. It can't be that bad being Taehyun’s roommate,” Kai says.
“Where's your white board Soobin hyung?” Beomgyu asks.
“Under the bed.”
“Why do you have a white board?” Yeonjun asks.
“I just felt like buying it?”
“No wonder you are always broke,” Kai comments.
Beomgyu writes,
Types of roommates you should avoid
Beomgyu says, “Don't ask any questions. Just listen to me. You will know why Kang Taehyun is a bad roommate.
1.Always have their significant other over
Beomgyu just moved into his dorm. It's quite spacious. He unpacks while waiting for his roommate. Then he notices a boy with blond hair entering. He's the same height as Beomgyu, maybe a few inches shorter. Beomgyu is in awe. It's like an angel walked in.
“Hi. I am Kang Taehyun. I am 19 years old, majoring in Chemical engineering.”
“I am Choi Beomgyu, 20 years old. Uhh..I am majoring in Social Science.” Taehyun smiles while showing dimples.
Beomgyu thought, “He's not just pretty but also smart.” Unfortunately the peace didn't last long.
“Hyung, Can my girlfriend come over?” Taehyun asks.
“Sure,” Beomgyu says.
Beomgyu is disappointed to find out that Taehyun is not available. At first everything was normal. He would bump into Ryunjin once in a while. But now it's too much. Every time he enters the dorm, he sees Taehyun and Ryunjin cuddling, being lovey dovey in the kitchen. Sometimes he would hear Taehyun and Ryunjin making out. All Beomgyu wants is sleep. Unfortunately the walls are thin. After two and half months, he noticed Ryunjin didn't come over anymore. He wanted to ask Taehyun. But thought it would be too sensitive for Taehyun. But his friend Jeongin ain't the shy type.
“Did you and Ryunjin break up?” Jeongin asks.
“Jeongin,” Beomgyu warns.
Taehyun says, “It's okay hyung. We broke up.”
“Why?”
“She was cheating on me with Chaeryeong. I caught them making out.” Beomgyu spits out his water.
“I am sorry Taehyun,” Beomgyu says.
“It's bound to happen. We weren't each other's type. She's better off as a friend,” Taehyun says.

“Taehyun and Ryunjin are the most gayest people. Did you think they actually liked each other? Pffft,” Yeonjun laughs.
“Now to the second point,” Beomgyu ignores Yeonjun the way he ignores mint choco.
2.Always have their friends over
As soon as the girlfriend problem was solved, the friend problem started.
“Beomgyu hope you don't mind us coming over,” Yeosang said. “Of course not. You are all welcome. Taehyun’s friends are my friends too,” Beomgyu smiled.
"Bullshit,” Beomgyu thought.
All Beomgyu wanted was a little bit of peace. He likes Taehyun’s friends. They are nicer than Taehyun at least. But as an introvert, Beomgyu appreciates his personal space. It's like he sees Taehyun's friends more than his own friend.
3.Roaming around shirtless
“Yah, Taehyun. Put on a shirt.”
“Why am I distracting you?” Taehyun gives an evil grin.
“Fuck off.”
Since that day Taehyun would always try to show off his muscles in front of Beomgyu.
Taehyun is serious about his body. Beomgyu rarely saw Taehyun skipping gym. Most of the time he would see Taehyun…shirtless. Taehyun has a nice body. But it's…. distracting. Beomgyu can barely focus when there's a shirtless Taehyun around him.

“To be honest, I would prefer a shirtless Taehyun,” Soobin says.
“What did you say?” Yeonjun says while leaning towards Soobin.
“NO PDA,” Beomgyu announces.
4.Night owl
Beomgyu doesn't mind someone being a night owl. Unfortunately he's an early bird. Taehyun does most of his work during the night. Even dance practices.
One day after having a hectic day, Beomgyu went to sleep. He woke up around 2am from the sound of music.
“Taehyun, can you turn off the music? I can't sleep,” Beomgyu says in a sleepy voice.
“But I have a tryout in the evening for the dance club,” Taehyun says.
“Can't you do it in the morning?” Beomgyu shouts.
“No hyung,” Taehyun says while getting back to his dance practice, ignoring Beomgyu.
5.Party person
Even on weekdays, you will find Kang Taehyun at parties. Even before exams. Beomgyu wonders how this guy passes with an excellent result.
The door bell kept ringing. Beomgyu knew who was behind the door. He decided to ignore that person. But he can't leave his drunk roommate out there at 4 in the morning. He decided to open the door. Giggly Taehyun warped his arms around Beomgyu's neck, hugging him. “Thank you, hyung,” Taehyun mutters.
Taehyun is a lousy drinker. He has the dorm key with him. Still he would ring the bell at 4 in the morning. It pisses off Beomgyu. But he can't let his drunk roommate wander alone.

“Did you ever try talking with Taehyun?” Yeonjun asks.
“No?”
“You guys have to spend another 2 years together. You can't solve a problem if you don't talk with him,” Soobin says.
Kai also agrees, “Hyungs are right. Taehyun isn't that bad. He will understand if you tell him.”
“I can't believe you guys. Siding with Kang,” Beomgyu scoffs while leaving Soobin’s dorm.
“Yeosang hyung,” Taehyun crashes into Yeosang’s bed.
“What happened?”
“Beomgyu hyung is so annoying.”
“He ain't that bad.”
“I am the one living with him. Not you.” “Tell me about it.”
“Types of roommates you should avoid…..”
1.A messy cook
Taehyun doesn't mind Beomgyu cooking but he leaves an unavoidable destruction whenever he cooks. He wants so many ingredients just to cook a simple dish. It pisses off Taehyun so bad.
“What are you doing?”
“Baking cookies for Soobin hyung,” Beomgyu happily replies. Taehyun didn't pay much attention to it. After a while, the fire alarm went off and the whole dorm was filled with black smoke.
“What the heck happened?” Taehyun shouts.
“We are gonna get kicked out,” Beomgyu dramatically wept.
“No shit Sherlock.”
Luckily, they just got a warning. It's safe to say that Beomgyu is banned from the kitchen.
2.Bathroom hogger
One day Taehyun wakes up late for his exams. He quickly runs toward the bathroom for a shower. But Beomgyu occupied the bathroom.
“Hyung, can you be quick? I have an exam,” Taehyun shouts.
But Beomgyu says no attention to Taehyun's words. Normally Beomgyu would take 15-20 minutes to shower. But today, he took his sweet time. Taehyun goes to his exam while stinking.
3.Early bird
Taehyun loves to sleep in the morning. That's why he kept his classes at noon. But Beomgyu keeps disrupting his sleep. Beomgyu will wake up around 6 am and sing loudly. Sometimes he would watch TV in full volume or wash dishes with lots of smashing. They argue almost every day because of this.
Taehyun heard a smashing sound in the kitchen. Most probably Beomgyu was washing dishes. The sound gets louder and louder.
Taehyun had to get out of his bed, “Beomgyu, can you please keep it down? I came home late.”
Beomgyu looks at Taehyun and starts singing, “Early to bed, early to rise, make a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”
Unfortunately that day was unlucky for Beomgyu. He got headlocked by Taehyun.

“Taehyun, you are not that pleasant as a roommate,” Yeosang says.
“I tried to compromise. But he keeps getting on my nerves.”
“Did you try talking with him like an adult?” Taehyun ignores Yeosang’s question while drifting into sleep.
A few days passed since their breakdown about the worst roommate.
“Are you wearing my hoodie?” Beomgyu asks.
“If it's yours then what was it doing in my laundry basket?” Taehyun says.
“I didn't notice and accidentally put it in your basket,” Beomgyu says while regretting his clumsiness.
“How can you not notice?”
“It’s my favorite hoodie. Please Taehyun. Give it back.”
“Nope.”
Beomgyu charges at Taehyun, trying to take off the hoodie.
“If you want to see me naked just say it.”
Beomgyu gets flustered from Taehyun’s comment. “W-why would I want to see you naked. Eww.”
Taehyun just laughs.
“You know what? Keep it. I don't want to wear something you already used.”
Beomgyu and Taehyun might dislike each other as roommates. But there's a line when they end up caring about each other more than a roommate should.
Beomgyu's friends decided to throw him a birthday party. Beomgyu and Taehyun’s place is decorated with balloons. Beomgyu enters feeling happy. Everyone wishes him. It's Taehyun's turn.
“Happy birthday Beomgyu hyung.”
“I hope you didn't come empty handed, Taehyun,” Beomgyu says, giving a playful look.
“Of course not. It will be the best birthday gift.”
Taehyun starts mingling with other people. Beomgyu finally cuts the cake. Everyone is busy with the food. He walks towards Taehyun.
“May I get my gift now?” Beomgyu is being impatient.
“Fine,” Taehyun replies.
He cups both of Beomgyu’s cheeks. Beomgyu places his hand on Taehyun's waist. Taehyun leans in and kisses Beomgyu. It was short but enough to make the whole room shocked.
“What are you looking at?” Taehyun asks as he goes to the other room.
“You guys…kissed?” Soobin asked.
“It's not like it's the first time,” Beomgyu replies.
“When did this happen?”
“Probably at the nightclub. When both of us were super duper drunk.”
“I thought you hate Kang Taehyun.”
“I do hate him, Soobin. But I can't deny the fact that he's handsome and a pretty good kisser.”
The next day Beomgyu goes to an event held by the dance club. He's busy chatting about some ongoing gossip on campus.
Suddenly Soobin speaks up, “Taehyun is going to perform too. With Yeonjun hyung.” “Why are you telling me this? I came here for Yeonjun hyung, not Taehyun. “Whatever.”
Taehyun and Yeonjun's performance left everyone in awe. Beomgyu was absorbed in the performance. Taehyun indeed has talent in dancing. Beomgyu, Soobin and Kai go backstage to congratulate Yeonjun.
Beomgyu's eyes fall on Taehyun. “Taehyun-ah,” Beomgyu calls out. “You did a great job.”
Taehyun smiles.
“Yeonjun hyung do you wanna go to the celebration party?” One of their club members asks.
“Nah. I will hangout with my friends,” Yeonjun replies.
“Ya, Kang. Don't you have an exam tomorrow? Do you think it's okay to party today?” Beomgyu says.
“You don't need to worry about me. I can handle it as always,” Taehyun rolls his eyes.
“How do you know about his schedule?” Soobin asks.
“Cause he's my roommate,duh.”
“I don't think that's normal if you hate your roommate ...,” Soobin mutters.
The next morning, 2 hours before the exam, Taehyun rushes to the bathroom to throw up. Beomgyu thought he wouldn't help the younger but he's a bigger person. So he will help anyway. Beomgyu pats Taehyun’s back while he throws up.
“I told you so. Now you are regretting, ain't you?,” Beomgyu whispers.
“Let me get the medicines for you,” Beomgyu goes to find medicines. Taehyun leans on the wall. After taking the medicines, he makes his way to university.
After the exam he sees Beomgyu outside of his class.
“What are you doing?” Taehyun asks. “How did your exam go?”
“ Excellent as always.”
“I need you to leave the dorm for the next few hours,” Beomgyu hesitates.
“Why?”
“I have a date. So…I wanted to tell you in the morning but you were sick,” Beomgyu reasons.
“Sure. I think Yeosang hyung can let me stay at his dorm for a few hours.”
“Thanks Taehyun.”
Taehyun bitterly smiles. He's feeling something different in his chest. It's the first time in uni, Beomgyu decided to go on a date. Taehyun ignores his feelings. Cause that's what he always does.
After eating out, Beomgyu invited Hyunjin to his dorm and he said yes. Now they are sitting on the sofa watching a romcom movie. Their pinkies are touching and Beomgyu never felt this shy with anyone. Now they are facing each other, going for a kiss. The kiss turns into a makeout session. In the mid kiss, Beomgyu suddenly got flashbacks of kissing Taehyun. He tried to forget it but he can't help but imagine Taehyun. Beomgyu quickly pulls back.
“Is something wrong?” Hyunjin looks worried.
“I think you should go back. My roommate might get back any time.”
“Uh. Okay.”
“Text me when you reach.” Hyunjin doesn't reply and leaves.
Beomgyu feels so stupid for running the best part of the date. Beomgyu doesn't go to sleep. He just sits on the sofa. Taehyun comes back in the middle of the night. He gets startled by Beomgyu.
“How did your date go?” Taehyun asks while taking off his shoes.
“I think I messed it up.”
“That's what you always do.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” Beomgyu glares at Taehyun.
“Nothing,” Taehyun goes back to his room.
The next few days, Beomgyu totally ignored Taehyun. But he can't get the thought of kissing Taehyun out of his head.
Today Beomgyu wakes up with a jolting headache. His whole body hurts.
“Beomgyu, why didn't you do the dishes yet? It's your turn now,” Taehyun shouts.
Beomgyu gets out of his bed with a blanket wrapped around him.
“You look like a tomato,” Taehyun comments.
“Because I am sick.”
Taehyun puts his hand on Beomgyu's forehead. This is making Beomgyu go more red.
“You are actually sick. Don't come near me. I don't wanna get sick too,” Taehyun says.
Beomgyu ignores Taehyun. He takes a nao on the sofa. Later when Taehyun comes back, he sees Beomgyu sleeping. Taehyun remembers the day Beomgyu helped him when he was throwing up after drinking too much.
Taehyun gets started with making rice porridge. His mother used to feed him this whenever he got sick. Beomgyu wakes up from the noise. He grabs a soft drink from the fridge to drink. But Taehyun instantly snatches it.
“What are you doing?”
“I made you rice porridge. Eat it.”
“I can take care of myself.”
“You surely can.”
Beomgyu sits on the chair. Taehyun serves him the porridge.
“Not gonna lie but that looks disgusting. I don't eat it,” Beomgyu whines.
Taehyun takes a spoon of porridge and goes like, “Whooo, here comes a plane. Say ahhhh.”
Beomgyu stares at him in disbelief. But he let Taehyun feed him. He snatches the spoon from Taehyun and eats the rest by himself.
Taehyun making healthy and delicious food for Beomgyu everyday made Beomgyu recover faster. Beomgyu's sad that Taehyun won't cook for him anymore.
One day while hanging out with Kai, Beomgyu blurts out, “Is it okay to imagine someone else while kissing?”
Kai gives him a shocking look.
“Where is this coming from?”
“You know what? Nevermind.”
“It's not normal. It means you are not interested in the person you are kissing. You most likely have feelings for the person you imagine.” Beomgyu drifts into his thoughts after hearing Kai’s explanation.
“Is it Taehyun?”
Beomgyu says nothing and Kai gets his answer.
Yeonjun is hosting a party and Beomgyu has to go. Of course the first he notices at the party is Taehyun. What's a party with Taehyun? After a few drinks he heads to the porch for fresh air. He sees Taehyun sitting there and smoking. He sits next to Taehyun. None of them says a word.
“You look beautiful today,” Beomgyu compliments.
“Thank you,” Taehyun is flustered to get a compliment from Beomgyu all of a sudden.
“Not just today. You always look beautiful.”
Taehyun realizes that Beomgyu is shit faced drunk. Because sober Beomgyu would never speak like this with Taehyun.
“Do you wanna go back? You don't look alright.”
“I found you beautiful the moment I laid my eyes on you. You are also so smart. I envy you Taehyun.”
Taehyun doesn't say anything. He let Beomgyu speak.
“God, you are so annoying. But I can't hate you. I don't know when I fell for you. Sometimes you make me wanna punch you. Then you act like you care about me.”
Taehyun furrows his eyebrow.
“I am in love with you Kang Taehyun.”
Taehyun doesn't reply. He just says, “Let's go back.” He holds on to Beomgyu till they reach their dorm. He gently tugs Beomgyu in bed.
“Goodnight hyung.”
“Goodnight, Taehyunnie,” Beomgyu drifts into slumber.
Beomgyu wakes up with a terrible hangover. He goes to the kitchen to make some coffee. He sees a sticky note on the fridge.
“I will be staying at Yeosang hyung’s for a few days.
Kang Taehyun
Beomgyu feels something off. He tries to remember what happened last night. Then he realizes that he confessed to Taehyun last night. Beomgyu plops down on the floor and breaks into tears.
“What have I done, what have I done.”
Beomgyu texts Taehyun apologizing. But Taehyun doesn't reply. He waits for Taehyun in front of his class. But Taehyun ignores him.
Currently Beomgyu's in the cafeteria with Kai.
“He's still ignoring you?”
“Yes. I am never getting drunk again. Does he hate me that much?”
“Maybe he needs some time.”
“It's been like a week. That's why I have always suppressed my feelings for him.”
“It's okay hyung. You will get someone better than him.”
After 13 days, Taehyun finally came back to his and Beomgyu's shared dorm. When Beomgyu came back from uni and saw Taehyun standing in the kitchen, he was stunned. Beomgyu drops on his knees and starts apologizing.
“Why are you kneeling, hyung?”
“I am so sorry Taehyun. I am sorry for confessing and making you uncomfortable. Please don't leave. I-i will suppress my feelings. We can go back like we were before. Don't hate me more than before. Please Taehyun,” tears stream down from his eyes.
“I am not going to leave you….”
Beomgyu hugs Taehyun’s waist and keeps saying sorry.
“Do you still like me?”
“Yes. But don't worry. I won't show it.”
“I like you too.”
“I am sor- wait, WHAT?” Beomgyu looks up to Taehyun.
“I like you.”
“You are lying. You are saying that out of pity.”
Taehyun grabs Beomgyu’s cheeks and says, “I need some time to process your confession. Being around you wouldn't help. So I decided to stay away from you for a few days. You know, to discover if I like you back. I thought maybe liking Choi Beomgyu won't be that bad.”
“I thought you hated me.”
“You can be annoying sometimes. If I hated you that much then I would have moved out a long time ago. I ended up liking the chaos we created. My days are not full without bickering with you.”
“It's the best day of my life.”
Beomgyu starts crying again, out of happiness. Taehyun smiles and pats Beomgyu's head.
Beomgyu stands up and grabs Taehyun's neck to kiss. Taehyun places his hands on Beomgyu's waist. Their tongues fight for domination. They moan in each other's mouths. Beomgyu nibbles on Taehyun's lower lips, savouring each other. Their lips mold with each other perfectly. They finally break the kiss to get some air. A string of saliva keeping them attached.
“Can I take you on a date?” Beomgyu asks.
“Yes please.”
They can't wait to see what the future holds for them and of course their friends' reactions too.
