7 different high-schoolers,
Kalae Williams is a shy one, a smart one at that. They get slammed into lockers every other step. Dina Rodriguez is a princess; she's pretty, talented, and, of course, hates everything. María Martínez is the athlete, laughing way too loudly. People orbit her like gravity, but none ever get close enough to see how tightly she holds herself together. Danny Hayes stays by her side, confident even when it gets bad again. Jackson Reed is the golden boy, a future already planned out for him, whether he wants it or not. He keeps his head down and his mouth shut, terrified that one wrong move could spill out his guts everywhere. Robbie Sok skates past rules and expectations alike.
