Work Text:
Talking with bots in the main corridor was always fun. Not for Bee though. Particularly today. He was having a stressful day already, stressing out over the smallest things. Someone tried talking to him. They ended up putting their servo on his shoulder.
Images of Cliffjumper’s dead body flashed across his mind. He was completely severed in half vertically.
Suddenly, Breakdown was on the ground facing up, with Bee holding onto his arm. Surprised gasps sounded all around him but he wasn’t listening.
“What the frag dude?”
Breakdown said, in a mix of anger and pain.
“I…”
Bee let go of the cons arm.
“I'm so sorry. I don't…I don't know what that was.”
Breakdown got up off the floor, looking at him. It was a mix of slight anger and sympathy. He then crossed his arms.
“Dude…what's wrong with you today? You've been spacing out and not paying attention the whole day.”
“I'm not sure. I…I think I need to be alone.”
Bee said, turning around and walking out of the main corridor.
As soon as he left, a voice got his attention.
“Wait.”
Bee turned around to see Breakdown follow him out.
Breakdown gently grabbed Bee’s servos with his own.
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right? Listen…I know I tease you and make fun of you sometimes. But you can tell me things like this and I can be serious about it, I promise that I won't judge you.”
Bee sighed.
“Come with me.”
Bee took Breakdown to his room. He opened the door and then closed it behind them when they walked in. Bee walked over to his bed and then invited Breakdown to sit next to him.
Bee started explaining. It wasn't easy.
“I've been…seeing Cliffjumper’s dead body in my mind. It comes in flashes. I can't control it…I see his lifeless body at the worst times and it just activates my fight or flight.”
“Your twin brother…? Bee…I'm sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to lose siblings. Their deaths fragged me up really bad too so I know exactly how you feel.”
Breakdown carefully hung his arm over Bee’s shoulders.
“Do you know how to make it go away…?”
Breakdown was silent for a moment.
“No. But I know how to help with the pain.
