Holmes watches the rain out of the window as yet another clap of thunder sounds.
Watson looks up from the book he's reading to watch him. "Holmes? Are you all right dear?"
Holmes snarls. "It would be impossible to solve anything in this weather. Any clues of any importance would be washed away!"
Watson puts his book down and carefully approaches his husband.
"Come sit down. I'm sure we can find something to do." He gently puts his hand on the small of Holmes' back and Holmes leans back against him.
"Oh Watson. I am feeling increasingly tired and don't think I will be capable of doing anything." Holmes sighs.
Watson takes his hand and steers him to the settee. Holmes immediately curls up against him. Watson holds Holmes to his chest and runs his hands through his hair.
"I am bored." Holmes says.
"I know, my dear. I'm sorry. Would you be open to organising your archives? I know you've been meaning to do so."
"Perhaps later. But for now you are warm, and solid, and cuddling to keep out the chill in the air sounds like the most appealing thing to do." Holmes says as he cuddles closer to Watson.
Watson takes the blanket off the back of the settee and wraps it around Holmes. He kisses his head gently.
"Very well. For now we will cuddle."
Holmes sighs as he closes his eyes. The thunderstorm is still raging outside, but he is warm and safe here.
