   Summary

   Jon is mortally wounded during the Battle for the Dawn. Refusing to wait for his love and himself to be torn apart by the dead and the White Walkers, he commands Rhaegal to burn him. As he dies, he kisses his love.

   Expecting the embrace of death, Jon instead awakens.

   Reborn as the younger twin of Aerion Brightflame, and the third son of Maekar Targaryen and Dyanna Dayne, he is given a new life.
