    The sound of a pearl being thrown caught her off guard. Enough that when it cracked and split a few feet in front of her, she stopped completely. In seconds Leo was there.

    Zam smiled, fangs catching on her bloody lips and pulling, “I don’t want to die, Leo.”

    He stared down at her, anger clear on his face. He was holding his bow, minecart balanced in the other hand. “I don’t care Zam.”
