Summary
“Woke up hungry. I thought I would try to make a little something, and… I guess it got away from me.”
Dedue's deep brown skin enters Ashe's peripheral as the taller man leans in to smell, a pleased hum in his chest that Ashe can feel just behind his shoulder.
“It smells amazing,” Dedue says. “And I imagine it will taste amazing as well.”
Ashe feels his cheeks warm and he ducks his head, feeling shy as a maiden.
“It's my mother's recipe,” he explains. “Though, I feel as though I've never been able to recreate it perfectly. I've been trying for years.”
Ashe's eyes go glassy as he blinks away steam.
“The last time I made it, I made it for her. But…”
She never got to eat it.
