Stanna survives much before her Brother's accession to the throne makes her a Princess. All went wrong when her cousin Rhaegar rejected her as a potential bride. Her parents are killed, her betrothed is killed, and she is forced to lead the Siege of Storms End. She starves alongside her brother and her people for a year, praying for her elder brother Robert to win the rebellion. When a smuggler named Davos helps her win the siege and becomes her friend, she feels hope for the first time in a long time.Then, Ned Stark appears and tells her of Robert's victory. She travels to King's Landing with her brother and Davos. When Ned Stark returns with his bastard son to King's Landing, sans Lyanna Stark, it is decided that Cersei Lannister will marry Robert. Ned and Jon Arryn, however, mistrust Cersei's brother Jamie. The 'Kingslayer' is neutralized as a threat by being kicked out of the Kingsguard and sent home as his Father's heir, with the caveat that he and Stanna are to marry.
