Summary
``I guess we were both excited.'' The voice is closer than I expected, and I jump with an undignified scream. She giggles, a light sound that doesn't match the situation at all. My eyes are focused on her, adjusting to the dimness. She is just as beautiful as last night, but now I know her gaze has none of the warmth I'd hoped for.
``You're forty minutes early. Like an eager puppy.''
``You have the antidote?'' I ask, skipping the pleasantries.
``Hm. I might. But since we've both got some time to kill, how about we have a little fun first? Now you can really earn your life.'' I say nothing, waiting for her to continue. Her hands go to my face, turning it up to face her, then left and right, pinning me with a piercing gaze. She lets her nails bite into my skin and I hiss, failing to twist away. ``I was right, you are cute scared.'' She drops my face, resting her hands on her hips and cocking her head. ``Kneel.''
