   Summary

   Red lights flashing. Alarms blaring into bleeding eardrums. “Code Red. Secure yourself into the individual EscapePods.” Feet rushing, thumping, tripping. Tears escaping. Last goodbyes uttered in fleeting moments. Tender, short-lived kisses, and then off into the Pods: each one secured, and launched into the nearest planet, ship coming down behind them.

   Then utter black. One might say the adrenaline got to him, or the impact that made his vision go hazy--hands and feet tingling. One might say a lot of things.

   Six skilled astronauts, prepared for anything. Except this. Five months aboard the ship. Four ignored distress signals. Three large engine repairs to the ship. Two weeks of nothing. One lone survivor. Or so it seems.
