Miscellaneous KPDH Plot Bunnies (Feel Free to Steal Any of Them)

Summary:

KPDH Plot Bunnies:

  1. 2000s Polytrix Roller Derby AU based on the movie "Whip It!"
  2. Polytrix fic about the silly escapades of Oblivious Divorced Mom(tm) Rumi, and Totally Down-Bad MILF Hunters Zoey and Mira
  3. KPDH x Slay the Princess Crossover AU (or KPDH characters with a StP setting and premise)
  4. Royal AU where Rumi is the emperor of a kingdom and she has an entire harem consisting of both her girls and the Saja Boys (heavily inspired by the Korean webcomic "Men of the Harem")
  5. Tooth-rotting, fluffy domestic slice-of-life featuring Polytrix as crazy pet ladies with four cats and one dog (the Saja Boys are their pets lmfao)

Notes:

I just have so many plot bunnies running rampant in my head. But I have very little time or energy to write all of it as proper fics. So feel free to take any of these ideas and make it your own if you wish. I am just so deep in the KPDH brainrot, as you can see here.

Also, feel free to change any details here, add and expand onto the prompt(s), or keep everything as is when writing your fic(s). It's totally up to you! And I do not require credit for any of it. But do let me know if anyone writes any of these, as I would love to read what y'all come up with!

With that said, enjoy the brain dump/ramblings of an AuDHD madwoman with too many ideas for AUs.

Maybe I will try my hand at writing one or two of these in the future, but don't count on it. In any case, go nuts!

Chapter 1: She Was A Roller Girl, She Said "See Ya Later, Girl"

Chapter Text

I noticed there weren't any roller derby AU fics for KPDH. Which is surprising, because such a concept has SO MUCH sapphic potential.

Plot Bunny 1 - Slow Burn(ish) Polytrix Roller Derby AU:

  • This AU takes place in the 2000s.
  • There will be bruises, some blood, and quite a few (or a lot of) injuries of varying severity. It is a contact sport, after all.
  • Rumi is currently living with her aunt Celine, while she focuses on her college studies, her part-time job at a cafe, and other obligations.
  • Celine is rather strict and overprotective. She has very high expectations of Rumi. Though she is trying her best as a parental figure, at least. Regardless, due to her upbringing Rumi can be awkward and a bit...risk-averse.
  • One day, Rumi encounters a few roller derby girls on roller skates, passing out flyers to an upcoming bout. She is immediately intrigued (and feeling a little gay).
  • One of those girls is Mira, the team captain and pivot of the Huntrix Rollers. With those long legs of hers, she is fast as hell when she's the jammer. She is also great at blocking, since she is absolutely ruthless.
  • There are a few other teams in the local banked track roller derby league, like the Derby Demons and the Saja Skater Girls. All the players have tough, punny, fitting, or ironic derby names. Each team has a sort of theme or gimmick.
  • And yes, the Saja Boys have been genderbent and are now the Saja Girls here. The Huntrix Rollers need a rival team, and it adds even more yuri potential.
  • F!Jinu (whose name could be Ji-Woo or Ji-Eun, idk) is the captain and lead jammer of the Saja Skater Girls. Her derby name is "Queen Saja". Or something along those lines.
  • "Abby Saja" (whose real name is Abigail) is a blocker on the team and an absolute unit. She is also a butch lesbian and currently dating Romance.
  • "Romance Saja" (idk what her real name should be tbh, maybe Rose?) is also a blocker on the team. She is in a relationship with Abby and is the Femme to her Butch.
  • "Mystery Saja" (real name can be Min-Seo or something, idk) is another blocker on the team. How the fuck is she able to skate around with all that hair covering her eyes?!
  • "Baby Saja" (maybe her real name is Bitna or Bo-Mi, not sure) is the pivot of the team. She may be the smallest, but don't be fooled. Girl's a pint-sized powerhouse.
  • Rumi and her BFF Zoey both go to the next bout to watch the Huntrix Rollers go up against the Saja Skater Girls. Celine thinks Rumi just went out to watch a movie or something.
  • Rumi is so enthralled by what she sees during the game. Hot girls? In fishnets and short shorts?? BEATING THE CRAP OUT OF EACH OTHER???
  • Afterwards, a starstruck Rumi goes up to Mira for her autograph. In this roller derby league, she goes by the derby name "Speeding Red" (feel free to change it to whatever you want, if you have something else in mind).
  • She calls the taller girl her hero, and she responds by suggesting Rumi pick up a pair of roller skates and be her own hero.
  • Rumi sheepishly admits that it's been a long time since she's rode on roller skates.
  • But Mira tells her they accept beginners if they've got potential. Then, she says that they'll be holding tryouts for new recruits.
  • Rumi thinks about it and decides to just go for it. Then, she asks Zoey if she'd go to tryouts with her.
  • Zoey is like "I don't know...we're both kinda squishy." Somehow, Rumi manages to convince her to come along anyway.
  • OR ALTERNATIVELY, Zoey had already joined the Huntrix Rollers well before Rumi even learned of the team's existence. Here, she'd be "derby wives" with Mira (an affectionate term for roller derby soulmates) and have more experience in the sport than Rumi. Perhaps there is an already established ZoeMira relationship.
  • I haven't decided which direction this should go, which is why it's only a plot bunny at the moment. Feel free to take this in whatever direction you want.
  • But in any case, Zoey would be a blocker on the team. She makes a great blocker because of her "thunder thighs" (her words). And maybe her derby name is something like "Bruise Clues". Or maybe "Indi-go-go-go"? Or maybe something to do with turtles, lol.
  • At home, Rumi finds a pair of roller skates that used to belong to her late mother Ryu Miyeong. There's also an old photo of her parents together at a roller disco. Or maybe it's a photo of young Rumi learning how to roller skate with her parents.
  • Rumi puts on her mother's roller skates and starts practicing before tryouts. It's been a while since she's done this. But she becomes confident enough to get into roller derby.
  • Bobby is the coach of the Huntrix Rollers.
  • During tryouts, someone gets an elbow to the nose. This causes one hell of a nosebleed. Ouch. Bobby is quick to remind the offending girl that what she did was an illegal move, and could easily land her in the penalty box during a bout.
  • Rumi struggles at first, constantly falling on her butt and is reluctant to get a hit in. However, during the speed portion of tryouts she proves to be very fast. Extremely fast, in fact. Coach Bobby is very impressed.
  • Rumi gets accepted into the Huntrix Rollers as a lead jammer.
  • OR ALTERNATIVELY, Rumi gets accepted into one of the opposing teams. You know, for those who want this fic to have the "rivals-to-lovers" aspect for Polytrix.
  • Rumi should get a badass derby name. Maybe something like "Ultra-Violent" (because of her purple hair) or "Barbie Wire". Or whatever the author comes up with.
  • Celine doesn't know that Rumi has gotten into roller derby in her spare time. Rumi knows she wouldn't approve of such a thing. But Celine starts to get suspicious and concerned when she sees Rumi covered in bruises. Rumi claims that she just had an "accident" at work or something. An obvious lie, but she doesn't want her aunt to know what she's really been up to.
  • This plot bunny has so much Hurt/Comfort potential as well. Maybe one of the girls gets seriously injured during a bout, with the other two being very worried for her. Perhaps a few ribs get broken. There are ways the author can put the girls in the blender.
  • The author is also free to add some smut or spice if they want. Or they can keep it totally PG-rated. Again, it's totally up to you.
  • How the story concludes is completely up to the author as well.
