Chapter Text
The blaring of an alarm destroys the comfort of sleep, the sudden realization of voices coming from the hallway outside the door only sours the mood. A bell rings, a child screams, and last of it all—two squinty eyes blink open. Already annoyed and scowling, another day in Bullworth. The worst school ever.
Feet flat against the cool wood, sudden and unbearable. Jimmy ignores it, pushing himself up off his tiny twin sized bed, he moves towards the closet. Throwing the doors open of the wardrobe, grabbing his uniform that he wears everyday. The white button up, dark blue vest, and those raggedy jeans. His scowl as present as ever, his buzzed head already used to the cool temperature without any hair to protect it.
There’s already arguing and crying from little kids out in the hallway, just another day at Bullworth.
Jimmy walks out of his dorm, passing by a bully with a hard shoulder check, stopping inside the common area of the boys dorm. Seeing Petey watching TV… or trying to, as Gary was nonstop tugging on his hair and giggling after every swat at his hand. Jimmy rolls his eyes, “quit it.” He grumbles deeply, causing Gary to freeze before standing up quickly and looking over at the shorter male with a grin.
Petey looks over with a soft grin, waving at Jimmy and getting cut off before he can even get the first syllable out. “Ah, Jimmy! There you are, we’ve been waiting years for you to get up. Right, Petey?” Gary says as he tugs on the other’s ear, causing him to yelp—both Jimmy and Gary ignore it.
“Say… you’re not busy today, right, friend?” Gary asks as he walks closer towards Jimmy, rubbing his fingers against his palms. “I got… a little favor I need from you, you’d help me, right?” He chuckles, causing his scar to pull at his eyebrow as he squints. “I ain’t nobody’s errand boy, Gary.” Jimmy’s tone was final, he was tired of running around doing charity work.
But they both know in the end, he’s still gonna do it.
“Ah—don’t be like that, friend.” Gary raises his hands up in mock surrender, still grinning as if he just won a prize, the freak. “Don’t be so harsh now, Jimmy. We’re friends after all, so you’ll do this for me. Right? Right. Anyways, I just need you to teach those preps a lesson, I heard they were even bad mouthing you as well. Two birds with one stone.” He says as he turns away from him, hands behind his back as if he was a villain scheming aloud.
Jimmy was quiet for a moment, Petey glancing between the both of them. Why couldn’t Gary just… be nice for once? Even Petey could tell this was just a big fat lie, unfortunately, Jimmy falls for it. “Fine, but this is the last ever thing I’m doing for you, asshole.” And with that, the little strawberry blonde was stomping out the boys dorm.
Petey sighs, at least he was alone…. “Ouch—!” His hair is tugged once more, “oops, sorry Petey.”
Maybe being alone was better….
