Chapter Text
Late Winter, Undervale Hotel, 2026. Katherine was at the front desk, which as usual didn’t have much business. Until three figures approached her. One man and two women. The man consulted with the two women before talking to Katherine. He had messy brown hair, wore mostly flannel clothing, and was starting to show early signs of facial hair. “3 rooms please. One for me, one for my sister, one for my girlfriend. You can put that under Mason Pines.”
Katherine, as usual, checked on a walkie talkie with Esther before handing each one a key. “There you go. Rooms 416, 417, and 418.”
“Thank you, ma’am.”
The first woman spoke up. She had brown hair in a braid, purple streaks, and wore very colorful clothes. “Say, has anything… supernatural happened around here?”
“Mabel! We’re supposed to figure that out for ourselves!”
“How would you know that? Ford never said how to find out.”
The second woman, with bleached blonde hair and hot pink tips groaned. “Can we just get to our rooms? This has been such a long trip, and I think I have jet lag.”
Mason faltered for a moment. “Oh, right. Sorry Pacifica, let’s head upstairs to our rooms. Sorry about my sister ma’am, she’s always been like this.”
Katherine chuckled, but there was some confusion in her eyes. Why would Mabel, as she was evidently named, ask about something so specific? “My daughter’s like that too. Enjoy your stay!”
The three people headed upstairs, and Abaddon tumbled out of the vents as soon as they were out of earshot. “Katherine, this vessel has required Froot Loops for months and you still haven’t gotten any for me!”
“Abaddon, we’re on a tight budget. Anyways, we have guests now. Remember-”
“I know, I know. No biting, no stalking, no watching them sleep, no trying to bribe them into doing my bidding. Even though I just want Froot Loops!”
“Good. I think this might actually work out, unlike most things in my life.”
