With one last swing of Dedede’s hammer, the shadowy stranger was knocked off from its vehicle and left to lay limp across the sandy beach.
“Hah! Good riddance ya goopy freak!” The king cried as he zoomed away, taking a breath of relief now that he could put his focus back to driving across sunset shoreline and watching the waves with his rex wheelie. “Proud of ya too buddy!” He exclaimed giving it a quick pat which caused the wheelie to respond with a happy purr.
But Dedede’s mind was still on the mysterious rider, this wasn’t the first time it appeared and attempted to drive him off the road, and no matter how many times he asked questions it gave no answer, it even looked like him! Could it be dark matter? Dedede desperately hoped not, the last thing he needed was another guy attempting to posses or copy him…
Dedede’s thoughts soon came to a halt when his rex wheelie started freaking out! It was shaking, and swerving, and trying to speed up. “H-hey! What is it?! Cut it out yer’ gonna make me fall off!!” He cried desperately trying to stay on while calming the vehicle down.
Just as Dedede turned around, he noticed someone was trying to climb onto his rex wheelie and grab him! It was the shadowy figure again! Steam was bursting from the exhaust pipe in the place of where its eye should’ve been as it grabbed onto the king’s cloak attempting to throw him off his ride.
“AGH- HEY!! I JUST GOT RID OF YA!! GET LOST ALREADY YOU CREEP!!” Dedede shrieked pulling out his hammer, hitting and whacking at the stranger in hopes to make it go away while also trying to keep his balance on the panicking rex wheelie. But the stranger wouldn’t give up, it held on tight and continued to climb on and try to wrestle Dedede off of his vehicle.
But Dedede wouldn’t give in either, even if the stranger does manage to pull him off he’ll keep fighting and wrestling until its safe for him and his wheelie to leave. Said wheelie was still freaking out and trying to kick off the strange rider like a horse, and Dedede took that opportunity and while the rider was distracted with trying to stay on, the king activated the built in cannon on his hammer and swung it right in the rider’s face!
The swing was strong and hard enough to fling the strange rider off, and Dedede quickly got back to his seat and started up a huge boost, “Hit it wheelie! Let’s get outta here before it gets back up!!” He shouted before letting out the boost and zooming across the area as fast as the duo could, leaving the mysterious rider to be left behind in smoke and sand.
“Good grief..what a day..” he sighed, feeling stressed and exhausted, he went on this trip to relax and have a good time not get chased around by some freaky possibly dark matter doppelgänger for goodness sake! Now he was just left with more questions, why does it keep following him even after it’s been knocked down? Where did it even come from? Why does it look like him specifically? And why is it so determined to make him go away?
“We’ll stop by the next gas station, Wheelie, I’m assuming ya need a rest after all that..” Dedede mumbled, gently patting his wheelie. Boy did he need a rest too.

Noir hacked and coughed against the ground as the king drove off, sand bursting out of it’s engine pipes. There’s no way it could keep going after the king yet, it’s face was burning with pain and it’s own wheelie was in bad shape.
It slowly picked itself up and dusted off the sand sticking to it’s clothes, it had to be quick, Gigantes is waiting arrival and the king would only get closer.
Noir had to stop him, it couldn’t let anyone get to Gigantes and get hurt like it did. Noir walked towards its wheelie and gently yanked it out of the sand, climbing back on. Oh Noor felt terrible over having it’s vehicle get stuck in it’s own troubles.
The brightness of the sunset tickled against Noir’s face, grabbing it’s attention. Its faint glow as the sea draped itself against the sand was beautiful…All Noir wanted was the basic ability to move, to go wherever it wanted, to see all the different and wonderful environments planet Popstar had to offer, and in return all it got was pain and a massive war machine of destruction that it had to stop.
But there wouldn’t be anymore beautiful sunsets or waters if Gigantes was activated, so Noir had to keep going, there were splitting roads and it could possibly loose the king if it stood around too long. So with one last bunch of sand wiped off its coat, Noir speeded off after the king.
