Summary
Narinder is free. Free from the chains that once oppressed him, but now trapped by his own former vessel. The traitor had usurped his crown and stolen his very godhood, ruining his efforts and making him loathe her. He makes this abundantly clear with his day-to-day actions around the cult: murders, isolation, threats, assassination attempts. Taking out his frustrations and making her life a personal hell becomes a hobby.
After plotting a method to retrieve the crown, he attempts to create a ritual to either permanently get rid of the lamb or to retrieve ownership back. But drastic changes occur and in his onslaught to continue his facade, something changes.
Something he can't quite grasp, fickle emotions coming to light. It's too late though as the lamb realises the situation before his task is complete, and Narinder is left in a state of which he has never experienced.With the crown now unwilling to work and a temporary allyship formed. Putting the old faith to rest is the least of their worries. Nothing he could do would make up for what he took from her.
