“Crowley, however, was unconcerned by such things. We each bathed in half of an old oil cask that had been sawn for the purpose, positioned side by side. Without a word spoken about it, as though it were simply what was done, Crowley washed my back, the sensation of his hands on my sore muscles and his tender, thorough attention, going quite some way towards alleviating my suffering. Blood rushed to the surface of my skin, my pulse quickening and, I will admit, arousal stirring deep in my abdomen.”
