There was probably nothing Regulus could hide from Barty. So when he got an interest in lace and silk, he hid it; this wasn’t something like some sweet tooth, or an interest in a good slow burn romance, this was something that could make or break everything. He could imagine the headlines now, ‘Black heir likes dressing in pretty dresses like some femboy.’
No one caught on to the secret glances at girls and their beautiful gowns, or how, when they went to Diagon Alley, he found himself looking at the female mannequins. Or when Dorcas accidentally left her Muggle magazine in their dorm, no one noticed when he took it to look through.
No one knew.
But that was his mistake to assume he could hide a secret from Barty.
