A flicker of vulnerability appeared behind Sanji's eyes as Zoro spoke. "Your scent—it's different. Completely. You're like a different person. You're like a… you smell like—" It had been at the tip of his tongue, the front of his mind. But Zoro never let the idea of it settle.
"An omega?" Sanji murmured, barely above a whisper. Any honesty, any chance of disarming Sanji disappeared. He locked back up right before Zoro's eyes. "I smell like a god damn omega, don't I? What, does that bother you, alpha?" Sanji hissed, his voice harsh, angry. Something in Zoro grew taunt, threads pulled just before their breaking point. The cook pushed back, Zoro unprepared, and he stumbled a little as Sanji now took the lead. "What the hell does it matter? I never said I wasn't an omega. I never claimed to be a beta, or an alpha—you made assumptions, everyone made assumptions, you all—" He choked. His voice wavered and Sanji fumbled, pausing in his step, in his motions.
___tldr; after wci sanji and the rest of the crew meet up with their other halves in wano. only zoro notices that there was something different about sanji, and the cogs in his head turn a lot slower than the rest of the crews. bless him.
