"She isn't ok!" Kurumi stood up, slamming her hands on the table. As soon as she spoke, she realized she was louder than she had meant to be. She quickly turned around before giving a sigh of relief. As she continued, her voice was more soft, now filled with more sadness than anger. "I saw her... talking to Megu-nee."
"What? When did she..." Yuuri looked at Kurumi, clearly worried.
"The day after it happened. I'm sure you've noticed her falling back into the school routine. I'm worried...what if she's finally snapped?" Kurumi's voice became shaky as she spoke.
"We can watch her. For now, she seems to be doing better."
Kurumi and Yuuri sat there as the tension rose in the room. They both wanted what was best, but what if that wasn't for the best. As they sat there, footsteps could start to be heard coming down the hall.
"I'm back! Class is finally over!" Yuki slammed the door open, a bright smile on her face. Yuuri and Kurumi looked at her, horrified at her attitude.
"Why the long faces? Class sucks, but not that much." Yuki walked over to them, leaning over and examining their expressions before quickly shooting back up.
"We should do a team building exercise!" Yuki's eyes shined like she had the best idea of her life. Kurumi and Yuuri looked at each other before Yuuri respond.
"What kind of activity?"
"Well, it needs to be at school..." Yuki thought for a moment, making exaggerated expressions before continuing, "how about me and Kurumi-chan help you with the garden!"
"I'm not much of a gardener..." Kurumi game Yuki a weary look.
"Oh come on! It'll be fun! Besides, what if Yuuri gets a cold and we have to watch her garden?"
"I guess that's a good reason..."
"I'm not the only gardening club member." Kurumi shot Yuuri daggers before quickly looking to see Yuki's response.
"I... I guess that's true. But me and Kurumi-chan would have to help... because..." Kurumi was horrified as she watched Yuki struggle to respond. It was as if her brain wanted to be practical while forgetting why that was the practical option.
"Maybe the cold was spread among the gardening club." Kurumi spoke up, giving Yuki an explanation.
"Yeah!" Yuki quickly agreed, now more ready than ever to help.
"Yuki-chan! I thought you actually wanted to learn." Yuuri put her hands on her hips as she looked over to Yuki and Kurumi with a stern look.
"I am!" Yuki smiled back as water dripped down her face.
"It looks like your playing with the hose..."
"Me and Kurumi-chan were watering just like you said too!" As Yuki spoke, Kurumi grabbed the hose and pointed it at Yuuri, covering part of it so less sprayed.
As Yuuri got sprayed with water, Yuki and Kurumi laughed. Yuuri tried to be mad, but seeing them just as soaked resulted in a chuckle from her as well.
"Good idea Yuki!" Kurumi smiled, looking over to Yuki.
"Really‽ Thank you Kurumi-chan!"
"She brings the joy...the hope. I think it is ok to let her ignore everything else." Yuuri changed her top as she spoke to Kurumi. Yuki had already changed and was in the restroom, leaving only Yuuri and Kurumi in the clubroom.
"Yeah..."
