“Hello, welcome or welcome back. I’m your host Hana, and for today’s special valentines day episode I am welcoming to the stage the world’s favorite couple, Soukoku!” Hana, the host of this show, opens for Chuuya and Dazai to come on stage.
“Move it ‘Samu!” From behind the stage you can hear Chuuya and Dazai making their way to the stage. “Hello! Hi!” Chuuya walks onto the stage bowing slightly at the host with Dazai following close behind him.
Their outfits are stunning, drawing the attention to them immediately. Chuuya dressed in a gorgeous suit, one with a similar color palette to his beast outfit, dressed with fluffy ruffle layers, carving out his body shape perfectly. Lastly, a special hat designed red and black to match the rest of his outfit. And Dazai’s outfit, fitting perfectly with Chuuya’s. His outfit consists of another suit with red lace detail around the bodice standing out from the black of his suit. Along with an iconic black coat with red detailing on the inside and out.
“Wow, your outfits are gorgeous! I feel a bit underdressed!” Hana speaks about their amazing outfits.
“No, you look great, Ryuu got the whole cast to dress up today,” Dazai and Chuuya sit down in the fluffy white chairs across from Hana.
“Now let's unpack this episode because, woah, talk about insanity. I feel that everyone in the fandom felt an equal amount of shock.” Chuuya and Dazai laugh a bit at the chaos they caused. “In this episode to put it lightly, Soukoku and Shin soukoku got a LOT of attention.” Hana looks intense as she speaks about the episode, but she isn’t wrong.
The whole episode was a chaotic What if Soukoku and Shin Soukoku were dating. It seriously sounded like Asagiri let an Ao3 author write the episode. It opened with Dazai and Atsushi talking in the Agency with Kunikida, Ronpo, both the Tanazaki’s, and Kenji in the background. In the conversation Dazai brings up their partners, and says… “Who do you think would leave the Port Mafia for us first?” The question caught Atsushi by surprise. “Like do you think Akutagawa would leave the Port Mafia for you faster or do you think Chuuya would leave the Port Mafia for me faster?” By the time he finished that sentence he got the attention from the rest of the Agency there. “Sorry what?” Yosano and Kyoka walked into the room as he repeated himself. “Well shit!” Dazai yells out, and it’s clear that he knew they were on to them. “Dazai-San!” Atsushi yells out.
“And from there chaos just breaks out Dazai calls Chuuya and Akutagawa to the Ada and then the couples prove that they're actually dating to the Ada.” Hana wraps up the summary. “Now I just want to ask real quick what’s your opinion on the episode?” She drops the question, the one that everyone was probably wondering at home.
“I think it’s our best episode, the plot was just like the rest of the series. Non-existent!” Osmau speaks up first, getting a laugh out of everyone on set.
“But also, it was fun to give the fandom what they’ve been dying for. I do know that the AtsuLucy shippers were not happy, so we had to triple clarify that this episode was NOT canon!” Chuuya clarifies once again, to make sure any shippers won’t be angry and threaten to kill Asagiri.
“Yeah, but if the fandom wants more Bungo stray dogs they need to not threaten Asagiri for this episode, it was purely fun and games! BUt honestly the whole thing was extremely fun, we cut almost every second due to laughter, and generally Ryuu forgetting his lines.” Dazai goes on about what happened talking on and on about the episode.
“What were your favorite parts of the episode?” Hana asks them after getting the laughter out.
“Oh definitely when Fyodor was causing destruction in the background while we’re just talking! That scene actually wasn’t CGI and he was just having fun goofing around, moving from building to building outside of the Ada with Nikiolai, and Sigma.” Dazai laughs at Chuuya’s part, reliving the moment in his head.
“Holy shit that scene was hard to record, Ryuu did not stop laughing from the yells that Nikiolai was making.” Dazai points out the memory that was continuously playing in her head.
“We’ve heard a lot of Ryuunosuke laughing a lot. Can one of you guys elaborate?” Hana, a little confused by their inside ‘jokes’.
“Okay, I’ll explain.” Dazai speaks up, a little fitting for the characters. “So, we all know that Akutagawa is a very serious character, but his actor is a goof ball. Every fucking scene we have to cut for Ryuu’s constant character break moments, it’s kinda funny.” Dazai looks at the camera while speaking, aiming his comment to Akutagawa specifically.
“ALSO!” Chuuya yells out catching onto what Dazai’s been doing. “Every scene he has a cough, which is literally all the time, he breaks character, it's crazy.”
“I don’t know how the mangment team stands us, shout out to own behind the scenes crew, we are fucking insufferable!” Dazai picks up, still dying of laughter. “Wait? What were we talking about again?” After all the laughter the original topic was completely abandoned.
“Oh yeah, back to the special episode! Okay let's get to the juicy stuff, because a lot happened! Let’s cover our Shin Soukoku part first! In the episode we did have a cute Shin soukoku clip where they kissed!” Hana talks about the scene like a teenage girl telling gossip to her best friends.
To cover what happened in the episode! Nearing the end when Akutagawa and Chuuya had arrived at the Ada, No one believed them, so Akutagawa impulsive and random decided to kiss Atsushi quickly and sweetly, and did it bamboozle the fans!
“From that part we pulled some quotes from the internet! And I mean we searched; reddit, youtube, tumbler, pinterest, tik-tok, twitter/X, insta, even facebook and found a couple reactions to the scene! So to add a very interactive function to this, Jacob should be handing you a stack of cards and you guys are going to read and react to the cards we choose!” This segment of the episode is where things start to heat up. Reading reactions of pre-teens, teens, adults, and possibly grandmas who watched this episode!
“Well that you Jacob!” Dazai says grabbing the cards winking at Jacob, and then getting them snatched by Chuuya.
“Okay to start, Chuuya’sdeadflags, damn, anyways they said ‘Akutagawa doing impulsive movements was NOT on my 2026 bingo card?’ Well shit that makes 2 of us!”
“3 of us, and also that username is fucking diabolical. The Stormbringer light novel hasn’t been put in live action, but we’ve read it… And well…”
“‘Samu over here cried like a goddamn baby, he called me at 3 am I think sobbing after he finished it so then I read it, and fuck why did they do that to my fucking character?” Dazai relives the moment, by his facial features he’s not doing well.
“Okay lets move one before we spoil the whole manga for our dear watchers!” Hana laughs, but moves the topic to avoid spoilers and seeing Dazai possibly break down in tears.
“Okay I’ll read this one!” Dazai picks up a small card. “Fyodorsbloodhand, holy are there any normal names in here?” This next name comes as a shock as Fyodor and Dazai actually go very far back. “Damn I will be telling Fyo about that username, but this card reads; ‘ASAGIRI WHEN I FIND YOU!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN AKUTGAWA MADE THE FIRST MOVE!? I HAD A BET RIDING ON THIS AND NOW I’M DOWN 500,000 YEN!’ Damn Atsushi screwed them the fuck over, I will contact him to get you that 500,00 yen back, just dm me!” Dazai looks at the camera making a plan he knows he shouldn’t have. “Also please don’t kill Asagiri. We met him and he is very nice, no Asagiri, no Bungo stray dogs!” Dazai adds on to his point protecting the amazing author.
“You know that Sara’s gonna kill you!” Chuuya adds on.
“Sorry, but whose Sara?” Hana asks, because she isn’t telepathic.
“Oh, excuse us, Sara’s a social media manager, so she’s been watching this. I know she will get Osamu’s ass!” For a split second Chuuya places a hand on Dazai’s thigh look prettyyyy comfortable.
“Okay well lets move on we have only 3 left!” Dazai hands the cards back to Chuuya for him to read.
“Okay, Chelsea(Fukuzawa’s secret pet cat) said, ‘‘I neeeeeeeeeeeed to know how Shin soukoku told Chuuya and Dazai about their relationship!’ Oh I got you! We can literally act out how it would go!” Dazai, who looks equally excited, gets ready, facing Chuuya.
“I’ll do Atsushi and you do Akutagawa!” Dazai clears his throat and then starts, “Dazai-San and Chuuya-San, me and Akutagawa a-are dating.” Dazai speaks in a higher pitched voice shaking with every word.
“Dazai! Are you hearing this!?” Chuuya says in his normal voice, and then in a slightly deeper voice says, “what’s wrong?” And that gets a laugh out of multiple people on set.
“Get my wallet!” Dazai says in his voice again. “DazAi-San what do you mean?” Dazai trying to keep the high pitch voice has a slight voice crack that makes him and Chuuya laugh a bit.
“Osamu over here owes me 20,000 yen and a new hat!” Chuuya says in a perfect voice that encapsulates the tone Chuuya would use.
“Damnit Atsushi, I thought you had better standards! And scene!” Dazai throws his right hand down dramatically to cut the scene off.
“Lets move on to the next one, I’m cringing a bit…” Chuuya passes the box that was sitting on his lap over to Dazai.
“#1AtsuLucyshipper, fuck, anyways they said; ‘I’m SO glad this episode is NOT canon, because there’s no way in holy HELL! Shin soukoku is fucking canon!’ Hey they know the ship name at least! Anyways there’s more! ‘And also, this might be my 21 reasons to leave this fandom! #shipAtsuLucyNotShinSoukoku!’ Oh my fuck, girl if you’re on your 21 reason you might need to do some reevaluation?” Dazai says bluntly.
“So, do you think that the AtsuLucy Shippers will get any more light, for maybe another Valentine’s day episode or something?” Hana asks the question many were wondering.
“Well, we can’t spoil much, but I doubt after AtsuLucy will be getting as much after that episode,” Chuuya says gently to soften the blow for all the shippers.
“Well, should we read this card together Chibi-San?” Dazai looks at Chuuya and smirks like the idiot he is.
“Fine, also stop calling me that! Anyways,” Chuuya picks up the card and the two start reading the card in sync perfectly.
“User; Akutagawa’s left toe said, ‘This is canon I was there. :)’” Chuuya and Dazai both laugh, their smiles a little unusual for such characters.
“Well Akutagawa’s left toe-” Dazai stops to laugh, “sorry, but anyways you can believe what you like sweetie. By the way I am a Shin Soukoku shipper, I love my children!” Dazai smiles at the camera real quick and then stares back at Hana.
“Yeah, I’m also a Shin Soukoku shipper, I love my goth-son, love you Ryuu!” Dazai and Chuuya look into the Camera specifically talking to Akutagawa.
“Well, we must get to the biggest part of this episode, the part we were all waiting for…” Hana goes on to explain the end of the episode.
In the end after the explanation Chuuya and Akutagawa had to leave. And before they left Dazai and Chuuya had kissed ‘for a good 30 seconds by the way!’ and it shocked the Agency before Dazai said the last line ending off the episode. “So, can we have crab tonight?” A hilarious line to end off a chaotic episode.
“First was the last line scripted or just random?” Hana asks, avoiding the biggest event that happened in that episode.
“Oh that was random,” Dazai said quickly. “Yeah so what happened was there was actually a small cut in between the kiss and then I just wanted to add something fun to the end!”
“Wait? What do you mean by a cut?” Hana asks, which then makes the two of them burst into laughter.
“Okay, so when I tell you this, we’re going to have to tell you another thing.” Dazai says while looking at Chuuya. “So what happened was in the scene we started kissing and the kiss in the clip lasted 30 seconds, but originally it was about a minute long, then they had to break us up, so we retook it so it was short so I said that line for fun!” After the explanation the answer left everyone there gagged, shocked, jaw dropped.
“Wait, how?” Hana couldn't even form words.
“I have the clip?” Dazai pulls his phone out to find the clip.
“OSAMU!?”
“Here I told Yosano to film, love her by the way anyways, here,” Dazai turns his phone to Hana and the camera follows that. The clip shows them kissing for the normal 30 seconds, and then the kiss goes on and you can hear everyone rushing to stop them. And before they are pulled apart Dazai leans down arching Chuuya down into a dip, adding flourish.
“WHAT!?” Hana’s reaction is exactly what everyone was thinking. “Are you guys that dedicated to the bit?” Hana asks, then looks at the two.
“Well is this dedicated enough or not?” Dazai pulls off Chuuya’s glove revealing a gold band with an emerald shaped diamond that’s tinted red.
“WHAT!?” Hana asks again, in total confusion.
“Yeah, I don’t know why I married this idiot?” Chuuya says.
“Chibi loves me,” Dazai says and then pulls Chuuya’s face over for a kiss.
