Work Text:
A golden leaf lands on top of her head
The man next to her chuckles
She pushed her lips forward
Furrowing her eyebrows, quietly demanding a word
He inclines to speak
Of how fitting it matches her golden hair
She could let more land on her once more
To become a tree herself
A real pretty one
The woman doesn’t respond
And yet feel her cheeks make a tinge
But then she caught a wind breezing from her side
Another leaf, a red one, fell gracefully on the man’s head
She giggles to herself
He turns her side to see the leaf on his jacket
“Now I’m guessing, you too are a tree!”
She gives a beaming smile
He couldn’t help but feel a light skip in his heart
“Alright, that’s enough.”
And they shared the small moment with snickers.
