    “My flight is later, I will be here all day too. We could hang out.” Ilya said this with a casual shrug as if it was an afterthought.
    “Oh?” Shane hesitated before continuing.
    “Hmm. Hang out? I don’t think that’s a good idea.” The words ‘hang out’ seemed to be said with implied air quotes by Shane.

    “Get your mind out of the drain, Hollander. I meant hang out, like go do some tourist things.”
    “Drain? You mean gutter?”
    “Whatever” Ilya huffed.
    “I don’t know, wouldn’t that be weird? We’re not exactly friends.”
    Ilya wanted to point out that he knew Hollander pretty intimately but he thought that might scare him off more.
    “This is hurtful, Hollander. You would rather watch paint dry than hang out with Russian. I did not know you were Xenophobic”.

    It turns out when they spend time together they like each other a lot. Who knew?
