Work Text:
Moe and Ze were out today, again.
Leaving Regect home alone.
He decided to explore different areas; it wasn't like he even had anything else to do today.
There was this forest nearby he decided to venture off into.
It seemed a little familiar to him, but nothing he cared to worry about.
At least not until he spotted a clearing, and in that clearing there was a... wooden house? It seemed like nothing until he approached it and...
...
"Micha...?"
The entity approached closer, not realizing the fact he was starting to shake barely. Or that the rain had slowly started to pour. Just going up to the house and opening the doors.
It was different.
Untouched... yet messed with.
There was a thick coating of dust across everything.
Regect, despite the painful feeling that something was wrong, entered the house fully. Nearly choking- gagging on the dust that polluted the air. Waving his hand around a few times to clear up the area.
He noticed that his paws had drug in mud, quickly ducking down to wipe the dirt off himself and the floorboards. Silently pausing before looking up.
'If I cleaned everything, would you come back?'
It cursed under its breath, spawning in a feather duster. He didn't have a single clue on how to clean but he'd get it done.
It was a small house anyways.
...
He dusted off the counters, reorganized his chest- twice. Once alphabetically but then switched it to color coded. He made Micha's bed and straightened all of the wrinkles out of it. He even swept and washed down the walls.
But still, he knew deep in his chest that Micha was gone.
He stopped what he was doing. Before walking to the bed again. Sitting on the floor and leaning up against the furniture.
Regect couldn't stop himself from letting out a hiccup, which silently and quietly morphed into pained cries and sobs.
Maybe those damned Eyes were right.
Maybe Micha did hate him.
He would hate himself too.
