"Why is it even called a sugar bush?" Ilya asked on the way over. "Sugar yes, but maples are trees, not bushes."
Three of his teammates opened their mouths and then stopped in confusion.
"I... huh. I'm not sure," Dykstra admitted.
"I know it's," Hayes gestured for a second, "A clump of maple trees that get tapped, but I don't... no one ever mentioned why it's a bush."
Dillon, tapping at his phone, added, "Internet's not telling me either."
"And you call yourselves Canadians," Ilya joked.
"I am not—"
Dillon's protest was drowned out by the others' uproar. Ilya laughed.
