Chapter Text

(MAINLY SOV POV)

Soviet sits at her chair. The meeting is noisy- she's twitching, checking her files. Again. The third time. Soviet really, really hates long meetings. The screen up front is lit up with UN's presentation.

The screen flashes- Kochevik Socialist Republic.

Soviet always remembered that name. It was engraved in her head. Her dearest comrade, or to UN, a close ally. Nobody could deny their bond.

Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

Ah, here it is. Soviet, unlike herself, grins for a moment. Germany, sitting beside her, cringes, elbowing her. Soviet elbows him back, causing him to emit a low 'ow'. Turning back to her boredom, Soviet fiddles with her military badge, and glances around the room. She spots Kochevik, but she doesn't match her gaze. Instead, Kochevik Union looks droopier than her usual self. Her swan wings are messy and tangled. Every few seconds, she blinks roughly. Heck, even a toddler could tell there was something.. off.

Soviet has the urge to run over to her. She turns to Germany, her gaze questioning. Germany immediately knows what she's thinking.

"No, Sovi. Don't do it. She's probably fine."
"Easy for YOU to say."
"Don't do anything rash. The meeting ends soon. You can talk to your girlfriend later."
"SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND."
"Mhm.... Keep telling yourself tha-"

Thud.

The next second, half the table is rushing about, and Soviet pushes herself to the front. Kochevik Socialist Union is passed out on the floor, chair overturned. UN is rubbing his forehead in exasperation. "KOCHEVIK?!" Soviet yells, rushing over to support her 'friend'. She feels her pulse. It's perfectly fine, the heartbeat the same as always. So what was wrong with- Oh. Soviet perks up as she realizes, snapping her head to glare at UN. She picks up the smaller countries' body. It's relatively easy, considering Soviet's thoughts- 'THIS IGNORANT BITCH STARVED HERSELF AGAIN.' The USSR leaves the room in an angry huff. Heading for the bedrooms, most likely. The meeting is urgently dismissed, and the countries breath a sigh of both relief that the social event is over and worry for their fallen frenemy.
