Science 8 X Nurture Base

Summary:

One of the buildings at my school got replaced so I wrote a fanfiction about the 2 rooms dating.
2 of my friends wanted this, so...

Work Text:

“What do you mean I’m being moved?!” the nurture base cried in anguish to Mr S.

“The school’s growing population ever since Saltram was added has required more science rooms, and this is the only other room in the school with appropriate piping. And since textiles was removed as an option, moving you to the old textiles room only seems appropriate.”

“Do you not understand my purpose?! I’m here so that the most vulnerable to change students, like those with autism, can have a sense of stability and come here when needed, if the room changes it will stress them!”

“We already told them. They don’t mind”

“But short notice —"

“They were told months in advance.”

“Oh...”. Nurture was silent. “Why am I only just being told?!”

“You only just became sentient!”

“Oh...”. We don’t know how it happened, but somehow the Nurture base had become sentient a few days ago and told the meaning of its life. It was, thankfully, happy with its purpose instead of becoming a homicidal maniac like the cliche of most previously non-sentient beings that gain a conscience.

“It’s okay, Nurture, we don’t mind,” a student said.

“Ok...” said Nurture.

Over the summer holidays, Nurture mourned the old home from the art block, its new home, and watched as Science 8 was born. What Nurture was not expecting, however, was for Science 8 to also be sentient. Let alone be so hot and sexy. Oh, those sexy pipes and sinks and those white, pale walls Nurture wanted to kiss. None of the humans understood the attraction, but of course they didn’t; they weren’t buildings!

Nurture base wanted to confess first, but Science 8 was quicker.

“Nurture, I love you,” Science 8 said seductively.

“I love you too,” replied Nurture.

They kissed. Imagine this however you will.

And they lived happily ever after because I forgot where I was going with this.
