Work Text:
Luz was waiting for Amity on the street corner where she lived that morning.
This was unusual. But it wasn't unusual that the other witch's heart had started beating faster from the first moment she saw the other girl.
“Good morning, Amity,” Luz said, sounding oddly shy.
“Good morning, why are you here? Did something happen?”
“No, I just wanted to see how you are, you know, after yesterday.”
“I’m fine.”
“So your mother wasn’t angry about the abomination problem?”
“No. I mean, she’s quite angry, and disappointed. That I’ve changed.”
“I’m sorry, that sucks.”
It was true that her mother’s disappointment always hurt, but she wasn’t sure if everything about the situation was negative. After a few seconds of silence, Amity said:
“I think before I met you I was going down one path, now that I’ve met you I’m on another.”
Luz seemed a little unsure for a moment, then took a deep breath and asked:
“And is that a good thing or a bad thing?”
“Well, I didn’t really like the person I was becoming. Now I think I do.”
Luz smiled.
“Good, I like her too.”
