Too slow-too slow-always-too-damn-slow.....
The trek down the mountain had been hellish, Sam half-unconscious (try half-dead), draped over Dean’s shoulder, mumbling about bikes and licorice, the usual ‘walk it off, Winchester’ ramble, until he’d collapsed, for the final time less than a damn mile from the Impala.
And started talking about freakin’ Heaven.
And it was like Dean was damned to always be too slow.
