The house was decorated for the day. C00lkidd had changed the lighting to be red for the night and had set up the dining room in a way that was reminiscent of a fancy restaurant that you would see in movies.
Elliot was making dinner for the two of them. C00lkidd was throwing flower petals at the table and ground to make it more romantic. At least that’s what he said when Elliot asked.
Elliot had bought C00lkidd a gift last week for today. He wasn’t really expecting them to gift him anything, as they really couldn’t go out to buy something. That was fine though, just seeing their face light up was an amazing gift already.
Speaking of C00lkidd, she seemed to be done with the decorating. He smiled as she rocked back and forth on her toes. She does that often when she’s thinking he’s noticed.
He turned his attention back onto his cooking. It was just chicken alfredo, C00lkidd said that they didn’t want to eat anything fancy. Elliot didn’t know exactly what they meant by fancy, but wanted to play it safe with dinner.
The topic of their differing upbringings was something that came up several times. Nothing bad, just that one of them would say something and the other would stare at them like they just stated that they were from mars. That’s bound to happen in relationships from what he knows, it was just that it happened way more often with them than it probably does for others.
Elliot jumped from the sudden weight on his shoulder. C00lkidd was looking at his cooking from behind him. Their head was resting on their shoulder, and they looked at him and smiled.
“Get off me” C00lkidd laughed at his faux annoyed tone. C00lkidd kissed his cheek before disappearing from his vision. He smiled and turned his attention back to dinner.
He grabbed two plates from the cabinet. The food was pretty much done, he just had to dump out the water from the pot and mix in the sauce. He looked over to the table as he finished up with dinner.
C00lkidd had styled his hair quickly, or maybe he used scripts, into a braid. Elliot guesses that was to prevent it from getting into his food, as they seemed to be in the same outfit they were in a couple of minutes ago.
Elliot plated the food and brought both of their plates to the table. She smiled at him as he placed hers down first. He sat across from her, suddenly feeling a bit nervous.
“I got you something.” C00lkidd’s face shifted to one of confusion at his words before changing back to her smiling one, that was now more gentle looking. “You didn’t have to do that.”
“I wanted to.” Elliot said as he handed them the necklace he brought them. It had a bunch of connecting chains, one of them holding a little skull charm. C00lkidd’s face lit up as they saw it.
He was so in love with them.
