The half-elf’s speech ends. It’s little, but its impact on the forest is deep. It ripples through the soil, up into the roots of the trees and they burrow downward, opening a hole that leads to a tunnel.
Alone, the half-orc trudges along the tunnel. How far has he walked? How long must he go? He thinks of his friends and misses them. The earth opens up above him and the half-elf, whom he’d always known (Hasn’t he always known him?), comes crashing down on top of him.
And then they passionately kiss.
