Work Text:
Lestat stubbed out her cigarette, tilting her head at the back of Louis' head. Her lovely companion, her wonderful partner, with her back to her. Ignoring her. That simply would not do. Lestat couldn't bear to be ignored by anyone but it was much more hurtful when it was her beautiful Louis. What was she even doing that was more important than Lestat? From what she could see over Louis' shoulder and the back of the couch, she was reading a book. How boring. Lestat couldn't even be included had Louis been inclined to include her. She'd been sulking lately, quiet and withdrawn and hardly spending any time with Lestat.
She stalked over, rubbing the back of Louis' shoulders. "Louis, what are you doing, mon cher? I miss you, I was hoping we could spend time together."
Louis barely even lifted her head. She didn't even lean toward Lestat! "Reading a book. You should try it sometime, Lestat. We can go on a date tomorrow."
The pout on Lestat's face was entirely ineffectual, because Louis still didn't even look at her. She walked around the couch so that she was standing directly in front of the love of her life. "You've been so distant lately, Louis. Please, put the book down." As she spoke, she took the bookmark off of the end table and set it in the book. And when that still didn't move her darling Louis, she shut the book and took it out of her hands.
"Lestat—"
"No. You don't get to get away with treating me like this. You're done ignoring me. You know how I feel about being brushed off." The book was tossed unceremoniously onto the table where she'd gotten the bookmark. "Is it too much to ask to get a few hours of my Louis' time?"
Louis sighed at her, heavily, like it was far too much. "This new author is a genius, and I'm only halfway through her book."
Lestat waved a dismissive hand, her lip curling. "Don't start up again about all that. Human matters, Louis. Why should we care what our food thinks?" Apparently, she was going to have to show Louis what she was missing out on. She tossed her long, luxurious hair over her shoulder and looked down at Louis with smouldering eyes. She took those gorgeous hands in hers and moved them to her waist, moved forward onto the couch until she was straddling Louis' lap, and flashed a sharp grin at her. In this position, the rather low cut tanktop she was wearing put her breasts directly in her lover's face, which she knew from experience was a wonderful distraction.
Whatever argument Louis might have made seemed to disappear the moment Lestat was settled on her lap. Good! She shouldn't be thinking about anyone or anything else but her! Lestat should be the only thing that mattered! "You're so gorgeous in this light…"
"I am gorgeous in all lights. And, now that I have you right where I want you," she murmured, feeling Louis' hands tighten on her hips, "you are going to do exactly what I want you to. My pretty baby…"
Their lips met, and Louis melted against her, just like she wanted. She nibbled on her lip with her fangs and licked her way into Louis' mouth, teasing her just the way she liked until Louis' fangs flicked out too. There. That was her Louis. The vampire she loved. Louis gasped when Lestat nicked her tongue on one of them, slipping her hands under the hem of Lestat's tanktop.
Lestat was in heaven. She broke the kiss, much to Louis' dismay, to drag her lips and fangs along that immaculate jaw down to her neck. Louis gasped, tilting her head, and Lestat bit down on her neck. Feeding on a vampire was never as filling or nutritious as feeding on a human, but it was intimate and miles better than feeding on animals. And she knew how Louis loved when Lestat bit her. The sweet taste of her blood filled Lestat's mouth, reminding her of their first night together. Louis was mumbling something but Lestat couldn't hear it. She was lost in ecstasy, lost in the feeling of Louis' body against hers and the way her hands felt on her skin. Pulling her closer, not pushing her away.
An eternity later, she licked at the bite and lifted her head to look at her Louis. Louis' eyes were locked on the corner of her mouth, where there was probably blood trickling down. "Je t'aime, mon cher… You're beautiful, you know. Especially when you're mine. The most beautiful woman I've ever had the pleasure of seeing in all my years. Even in your melancholy, even when you ignore me, you make me want you more than I've ever wanted anyone."
Louis sighed, blinking beautiful eyes at her, and licked up the blood. "I'm sorry, my love."
"Don't. Don't be sorry, Louis, just be mine. No more going away from me, locking me out. No more distance between us."
