Work Text:
Octavius didn't want to die, but it was for the best. Ahkmenrah deserved to actually live out his life with his parents, and Octavius had his life. But he wanted more; he wanted to be with Jedediah.
The two of them had only been friends for eight years, and they hadn't gotten the chance to be anything more. Why couldn't they have stopped fighting earlier?
Octavius grabs Jedediah's face and pulls him into a tight kiss. The cowboy wraps his arms around the Roman like they were becoming one being. The two of them freeze as the sun comes up.
