Chapter Text

GENGHIS
Genghis Khan had everything in the world. He had this massive empire with lots of trade and stuff. But there was something he was missing. Something that his trillion wives couldn’t fix – true love.

This is why he conquered Asia. This is why he invaded China. This is why he struggled for the islands of Japan. To search for love—for true enlightenment. He searched and searched hoping a fair maiden who understood him would hear his glorious throat singing. But no amount of horse riding or fear-mongering got him that. He was utterly alone. And alone the great emperor will be for all eternity. Or so he thought.

While traveling up the Silk Road all the way up to Arabia, Genghis caught wind of a certain someone. A young emperor, climbing to be “on par” with him.

“On par? How ridiculous!” the great Mongol thought. “No one could compare to the great Mongolian Empire!”

On flyers and papers there was news of this short emperor conquering the western world. All of Europe stood trembling to his rule. Genghis had scoffed. Europe was a bacteria compared to the mass of Asia he controlled.

Nevertheless, he set off to find this so-called “gifted general” to prove his power, and maybe to conquer a bit of Europe too.

Genghis rode into France, sitting tall and mighty on a charcoal stallion. The precious green jade decorating his steed glimmered lightly and caught the eyes of many peasants. The people looked at him with curiosity. “Who is this man of power?” they thought simultaneously.

Arriving at the court was an easy feat. They had trampled a few hundred soldiers and used their beautiful throat singing to charm the ladies for leverage. “WHERE IS THIS NAPOLEON BONAPARTE!” howled Khan. His brows furled with a controlled rage and his eyes sparkled with pride.

From a stairwell arrived a man, decorated with red and gold. “That must be him,” Khan whispered under his breath. He wasn’t as short as he expected, but the moment he walked down to the last step and stood beside a nearby guard, he looked like a dwarf.

The cold power in this man’s eyes made Genghis’s heart skip a beat. After Napoleon quietly whispered something to the guard, his and Genghis’s gazes met. He had to tear his gaze away, for those horrifyingly round and soft orbs were like a magnet to his soul.

“Ahem…” Genghis cleared his through awkwardly, feigning eye contact.

“Who are you? What business do you have with the French Empire?” Napoleon asked sternly.

“I-I’m Genghis Khan! Great conqueror of Eurasia. You… You must be Napoleon Bonaparte! Hah! I can see why your empire is so small,” Genghis eyed the man up and down.

Napoleon's face flared into anger. The once cold, almost porcelain front he wore turned red and hot. Steam was practically coming out his ears! “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!? GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!!!” he screeched. He shouted for his men in quick, unintelligible French.

Genghis Khan knew when to surrender, and this was a prime example. “Hmph! This won’t be the last of the Khans!” he shouted as his horse galloped into the distant sunset. Napoleon watched warily as the figure of the towering man and horse receded into the shadows.
