“Hi Hen, how was it?”
Henry smiled, reaching down to pat David
“It was really good, we ended up spending a lot of time discussing Jane Austen instead, but she is interested in partnering with the shelter and the foundation. We haven’t quite decided what that would look like, but it was a productive conversation. I think it would be nice, though. I know some of the kids at the shelter are fans of hers, plus she would be able to provide clothes for the kids, which we are always in need of, especially higher-end, nicer clothes.”

“They deserve it, the stories they tell me break my heart, Alex.”
Alex frowned. Henry didn’t share a lot about the kids’ lives before they ended up at the shelter, wanting to protect their privacy as much as possible, but occasionally a story was so horrific that Henry needed to vent when he got home. He was still always very cautious to protect the kids’ privacy. So Alex knew that a lot of these kids were mistreated and he knew how much that affected Henry
Alex stood and closed his laptop
“How are you feeling? Do you want to go decompress in our room or do you want to watch some Bake Off?”
Henry smiled
“Bake Off as long as you hold me the entire time”

“I was thinking…that I maybe I could take you to bed just to remind you that I’m completely yours, even if you don’t need the reminder”

Earlier today a story was briefly posted to my instagram. This story seemed to indicate marital problems between me and Henry. Despite speculation, I was not hacked and this story was posted by myself. Henry sat down on the couch next to Alex, placing the cups of their respective drinks in front of them
“Hi, love, how are you doing?”
“I just feel so stupid Hen. I should’ve just texted our group chat instead, and then we wouldn’t be here drawing even more attention to our alleged cheating and relationship issues. God, this is all so stupid. I’m so tired of our lives being so dissected, and we can’t do anything without the news spinning it into a big story.”
Henry wrapped his arms around Alex, pulling him close to Henry’s chest, while pressing a kiss to the top of Alex’s head. It had been a rough month for them, both of them aware of the rumors that had been spread online, and they had tried to ignore it, tried to be seen out together more. But it didn’t stop people from talking. It was hard for both of them to see their lives and relationship being dissected online, and it never got easier as time went on.
“I know love, I wish I could make it stop. I’m so tired of people feeling entitled to our relationship. I know I should be used to it, growing up in the public eye. But I don’t want to have to prove my love to you, or for you to prove your love for me.”
Alex hummed
“I hope the statement helps. I know Zahra suggested being seen out in public for a while. How do you feel about that?”
Henry sighed
“I don’t know. I love spending time with you, but I hate how stressful going out in public is for both of us.”
Alex nods
“I suppose we can see what the response to my statement is and decide in the morning. I think we should spend the rest of the night cuddling.”
Henry smiles
“Please”
