Chapter Text
Prologue:
*So, a little backstory on Grave/Digger if you don’t know. Because if you’re reading this I would assume you come from the GATE community, with little to no knowledge of G/D. I don’t blame you, it’s a fairly niche Roblox game. Essentially after World War One, two factions came to dominate the world, the Royal Nation, and the Golden Empire. The Royal Nation makes up the Americas, parts of Africa, Australia, and Poland with some small footholds in Asia. The Nation is led by a group of Kings, representing democracy, individual freedom, and progress. The Golden Empire holds most of Europe and Africa, all of Russia, and most of Asia. The Empire is led by the Queen, full of faithful souls who near-worship the Queen. They hate each other but at the time they didn’t want war, still recovering after WW1, but the assasination of a Nation prince made the Nation attack the Empire first. They ended up bombing the fuck out of each other, so much so that the surface of the earth became uninhabitable (they just used bombs and chemical weapons, no nukes or anything, deus ex machina in how there are enough bombs in the world to do that). Both factions fled underground, but the war did not cease. They keep fighting each other, fueled by hate, propaganda, and weapons from the Solace Coalition. Solace is the third faction, un-playable in game, but in-lore they provide all the weapons and most of the food for both factions. Both Nation and Empire have guaranteed the safety of Solace in exchange for weapons and food. Solace provides a safe neutral option for those who don’t want to fight in a pointless war. If either faction were to attack Solace they would lose their supply of weapons, and by extension, the war. There are also many Bandits in the lore, those who don’t belong to the Nation, Empire, or Coalition. They raid supply dumps, compounds and factories of all sides.
The weapons in-game also have their own names, so I will list them here and what gun they’re based on for the few gun nuts like me who read this, and so you can look them up to know what guns people are using if you feel like it.
