Chapter Text
Youngjae had just transferred into a new school, an all boys boarding school to be exact. He found himself in a completely new country and city, somewhere so far detached from the countryside he’d grown accustomed to over the years.
His mother insisted a new environment would improve his grades, get him into better schools once he returned home, that an education overseas would be better than whatever programs they could find in Seoul. Something he remained doubtful of, but knew far too well it would be futile to argue with his mother about it.
That’s how he found himself standing outside the tall, historical dormitory of Silver Oak Academy. The neatly maintained pathway led him towards the main building, flowers and trees carefully trimmed in the garden outside the building, making his way inside to find who he believed to be his peers sat in the communal living space playing video games.
Youngjae, barely mustering up his voice asks “Is there any way someone could direct me to room 402 in the eastern building? I believe that’s where my stuff was delivered”, voice quiet, his anxiety noticeable, a tall bunny looking student seemed to hear him “Jihoon, I think your roommates here” lightly tapping a blonde boy on the shoulder as he rouses from his spot on the couch, approaching Youngjae.
“You said room 402, right?” He asks, Youngjae forcing a tight “yes” out of his throat. “Well, we’re roommates then!! The name’s Han Jihoon,” a smile so bright it could replace the sun pulling itself across Jihoon's face.
Jihoon pulls his arm, leading him back out to the pathway, neither speaking for a moment before Jihoon interrupts Youngjae's panicked train of thought, “Oh! I never asked what your name was!”
To Youngjae, his roommate seemed kind of up in the clouds, not quite there. “Youngjae, Choi Youngjae,” his country accent peeking through, “Well it's nice to meet you Youngjae!!” Jihoon pausing for a second, “You have a bit of an accent where are you from- I mean I know this school has a lot of Korean exchange students, it's like half the student body, but it's odd to see a new face after the first year.”
“My mother was very specific about making sure she found me the best school, so it took a year for her to settle on this one...” Youngjae's voice was quiet, “and I’m from Busan, Gimhae to be more exact,” trying to give Jihoon an answer he’d be satisfied with. “Well, it’s nice to meet you, Youngjae from Gimhae!!” Jihoon says excitedly “You don't have to phrase it like that... just call me Youngjae, please...”
The walk in silence for a while, finally reaching the eastern building “this is us Youngjae” Jihoon states as he holds the main door open for Youngjae, muttering a barely audible ‘thank you’ under his breath.
“The elevator is a little broken right now... I hope you don't mind some stairs” Jihoon says, seeming to dread the stairs himself “it's ok, I’ll be ok” Youngjae tells himself. Four flights of stairs later he begins to regret his statement, his legs growing fatigued from the uphill trek “were the second room now” pointing towards the placard with their names embossed into its surface
2nd year students, Han Jihoon and Choi Youngjae
Seeing his name on the placard beside the door is when the reality of the situation hits him, he's really gonna be here for the next 3 years — in this same room, with a very interesting boy as his roommate.
Jihoon unlocking the door, gesturing for Youngjae to enter “I have my stuff already unpacked since I didn't bother taking anything back home with me — I hope you don't mind the side of the room I've taken” scratching his head as he spoke “I should be ok, you can go back with your friends I’m just going to begin unpacking” Youngjae says, trying to rush Jihoon out of the room so he could relax, set up his privacy curtain without another set of eyes on him.
”Ok, you can message me if you need help” Jihoon says “Shit! I didn't give you my number” Grabbing Youngjae's phone off his hand and putting himself into his contacts as ‘Jihoon<3’ nothing more, nothing less just his name “anyway! Let me know if you need any help!!” Waving goodbye as he scurries down the stairs to return to whatever game he was playing before having to direct his roommate to their dorm.
Youngjae feels himself let out a breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding in “why am I so nervous around him?” He thinks aloud, pondering that for a moment before shoving it off to the side for future Youngjae (re; Youngjae this evening) grabbing the first of many boxes of his things from home.
The first box labeled ‘Bedding’ as it would imply holds his sheets, blanket, and his beloved stuffed bear — still smelling of his moms preferred detergent, smelling of home. Pulling the well loved fitted sheets out, wringing it out before wrangling it on to the small dormitory bed.
finding himself making his bed exactly how he liked it, probably far to elaborate for somewhere he’d only be spending a small amount of time in but it brought Youngjae the small bit of comfort he needed in this foreign place.
By the time evening arrived he had finished and headed down to the main lobby hoping he would find Jihoon there. Unsure where to find the cafeteria or anywhere to grab a quick meal on campus. After making a few laps around the main floor he comes to the conclusion that Jihoon must still be in the common area, Youngjae still unsure of the directions opts to send him a message, pulling out his phone
Youngjae
Where do I find food here?
it’s Youngjae btw:)
Jihoon <3
I know its you dw
i was gonna bring back something for you, assumed you were still unpacking
Youngjae is unable to tear his eyes away from the three dots that let him know Jihoon is still typing.
I haven’t ordered yet, me and the rest of the guys were gonna go off campus for some Korean food. I'll send you a pic of the menu once we're there.
Rather than the invite he had been hoping for he got that, he knows Jihoon has good intentions but still wishes he got invited out, wanting to talk to someone, be around someone even the smallest bit familiar here.
Youngjae
Sounds good :)
Youngjae finds himself sitting on his bed, behind the cover of his privacy curtain wishing Jihoon with his stupidly cute smile and stupidly fluffy hair would’ve invited him out, would’ve been a little less considerate of his exhaustion.
Selfishly he wanted Jihoon to invite him out, to discard any consideration for the travel day or the unfamiliar setting.
He sits there for what feels like an eternity sulking while he waits for Jihoon to return with his probably lukewarm food. Looking over to his well worn stuffed bear that he's had for as long as he can remember like the bear would magically have the answer to why he feels so…
he doesn't even know what he's feeling! He only met this guy once. Why is he so hung up on the fact he didn’t get invited out! Normally Youngjae would turn down offers to hang out, preferring his own company to that of another person and now he's acting like a child over not being invited out. He’s still getting food that’s all he should in theory care about!
Youngjaes finds himself confused and just about ready to throw himself off the roof of this building if he doesn't see a blonde man with food in front of him in 15 minutes or less.
Youngjae
Jihoon :(
When will you be back?
He knows he sounds desperate but with hunger clouding his view he couldn’t care less about it.
Jihoon<3
Just walking to the dorm now >-<
God his stupid emoticons. Youngjae was going to die and it was going to be Han Jihoon's fault.
his sulking only lasts for another moment as Jihoon comes through the door a slight sheen of sweat on his forehead and Youngjae's food in-hand “I hope you didn't wait to long” Jihoon says, laying Youngjae's food down on his desk
“You didn't respond to my text with the menu, I hope this is ok” Jihoon gesturing to the bowl of Bibimbap that sat on his desk “I know it's not much but I wanted to get something safe; I’ll take you out with all the guys for a meal once you’re settled” that Same stupid smile cresting his face
”I'll hold you to that then!!” Youngjae says a giddily kind of joy settling itself in his chest. Getting situated at the desks that sits at the foot of his bed, cracking the wooden chopsticks in two before digging into the food Jihoon brought him back.
”this is really good Jihoon!!” Mumbling with his mouth full of rice and veggies.
”Don’t talk with your mouth full” Jihoon chides, endeared by his roommates excitement and lack of manners
“You're not my mom” Youngjae pouting after being scolded by someone he’d only met a few hours prior
“Okay, okay I won't scold you unless we're alone? How about that?” Jihoon questions “You need someone to lean on here and I don't mind being that for you Youngjae-ah” That same smile Youngjae had spent the past few hours blushing over showing up annoyingly often when he sees Jihoon. his stupid pretty smile made him melt.
“Ok fine” Youngjae still pouting, finishing off his food and crawling into his bed. Jihoon only just taking notice of the curtain that now separates the two
“Awhh Youngjae you don't wanna look at my face while I sleep” Jihoon's tone teetering the line between teasing and disappointment.
”I can't sleep if I feel like someone’s looking at me…” Youngjae's voice is quiet, barely above a whisper.
“Sweet dreams then Youngjae, I’ll wake you up before classes tomorrow” Jihoon has palpable amounts of affection in his voice. The boy from Gimhae has taken his heart in many ways already.
Youngjae feels a blush rise to his cheeks as he hears Jihoon's soft words before closing his eyes, trusting Jihoon to wake him on time and maybe even walk him to class..
***
Youngjae rouses to the feeling of a hand shaking his shoulder and someone’s lips dangerously close to his year — almost like he was about to kiss him “Youngjae you gotta get up” He hears a voice he slowly registers as Jihoons filling the room.
”5’more minutes” Youngjae mumbles, nuzzling back into his pillow Jihoon's hand remaining where it was on his hip
”You said that 15 minutes ago Youngjae, you seriously gotta get up if you want to have time for breakfast” Jihoon says, understanding Youngjae's desire for the littlest bit more sleep
“Ok I’ll get up now then” Youngjae’s reluctance is clear in his voice as he begrudgingly gets out of his warm cozy bed. Jihoon went off to the main floor to give Youngjae some privacy to get ready. Youngjae finds himself unable to get the feeling of Jihoon's lips so close to his neck out of his mind, was Jihoon going to kiss him to wake him up?! And why was he feeling like this?! He definitely didn't like Jihoon and definitely did not like kissing other people — the one time in middle school he’d been dared to kiss one of his classmates he hated how it felt, hated the trading of salvia... it all just grossed him out.
doing his best to push the thought into the deepest corners of his mind as he pulls on his uniform, the pants fitting but just the tiniest bit too tight to be fully comfortable. An amazing start to his day if you were to ask him!!
***
Breakfast goes by in an unassuming manner, playing off the blush that refuses to leave his face as him just being warm. Something Jihoon doesn't question despite Youngjae visibly shaking, the goosebumps on his arms unseen but he swears Jihoon can tell and is just being kind about. The same way he was just kind about not inviting him out last night.
There's a sharp chill to the air and Jihoon leads the way to the main school house, both boys being in the same class. Youngjae blindly follows Jihoon to the corner with a few of the boys he recognizes from the common area when he meets Jihoon.
A boy Youngjae doesn't recognize mummering a “g’morning Jihoon” voice thick with sleep.
“Dohoon! My roommate is in this class with us!! At least pick your head up off your desk and greet him” Jihoon giving him a light tap to the top of the head
“Okay, okay I’m up” Dohoon responds, still seeming exhausted from what Youngjae presumes is lack of sleep.
”Hi!! I’m Choi Youngjae, it's nice to meet you Dohoon!!” Youngjaes dialect still clear in his voice when he spoke.
”ohh you’re the boy from the countryside that Jihoon was talking about nonstop last night” Dohoon mumbles before getting another, seemingly harder smack from Jihoon
”Dohoon! Don’t say that” a flush creeping up Jihoons neck. “I talked about him a perfectly normal amount, I don't know what you’re on about!” Jihoon states.
”You know denial isn’t gonna change what happened or how much you’re blushing Jihoon” Dohoon's voice is quiet and teasing.
”Okat, okay we can talk about it” pausing and tilting his head towards where Youngjae sat nearby “at lunch- whenever Youngjae isn’t right there!” Youngjae perking up as he heard his name
“Yeah?” Confused as to why the other would be calling out to him. ”It's nothing!” Jihoon scrambled for an excuse “Oh ok.” Youngjae appeared a little disappointed. “What class is first?” He asks ruffling through his bag.
”math I think? I barely remember the schedule” Jihoon scratching his head.
It's painfully clear the two have some kind of feelings for each other despite only meeting the day before, neither able to form a coherent thought when the other is nearby. Before either can make another poor attempt at conversation their home room teacher walks in.
Youngjae finds himself unable to muster up his voice around Jihoon during their classes, even during their short breaks choosing to pick at his cuticles rather than try to talk. Getting the feeling Jihoon didn't want to talk to him after this morning, the way he immediately deflected when he asked what they were talking about — something where his name came off worried him greatly. In his worry he's opted to ignore Jihoon for the day, until he’s inevitably faced with him back in their room.
“Youngjae-ah!! Do you wanna meet everyone else during break?” Jihoon and Dohoon parrot in his direction “I was gonna- you know what, sure. I can find the library later” Youngjae wanting to say no, to hide away in the library under the guise of his studies but unable to say no when faced with Jihoon's stupidly charming smile. It seriously shouldn’t be legal for someone to look like that.
The hours in between when Jihoon asked him to hang out with him during their lunch break and lunch itself felt like it was both too little time to prepare himself and just enough time to work himself into a panic.
Youngjae finds himself sat in an overcrowded cafeteria sat down with 3 other dudes he doesn't know, Jihoon having gone off to grab himself something to eat with Dohoon in tow, leaving him here. he overhears some of the other guys talking quietly making out something from one of the Boys that sounded like “who’s this guy that Jihoon left here?”
The boy who said that is strikingly beautiful..? Soft features paired with sharp angular shoulders. Youngjae mustered up his voice “Hi, I'm Jihoons roomate…” his voice barely audible.
“Ohhh you’re Jihoon's roommate, that explains why he brought you. I'm Junghwan!!” The same boy who he was calling strikingly beautiful only moments before speaking to him
”It's nice to meet you Junghwan…” Youngjae's voice still quiet, the others whose names he learnt were Kyungmin, a first year student and Junghwan's younger brother, and Hanjin, a second year exchange student from Hunan, China.
The four sit in an awkward silence, no one willing to break the ice until Jihoon and Dohoon make their return.
Youngjae pulling out his phone to send Jihoon a message
Youngjae
When will you be back?
i dont know any of these guys and you stranded me ૮ ◞ ﻌ ◟ ა
Jihoon<3
me and Dohoon will be back soon~
dont worry too much Youngjae, the others are nice :)
Youngjae pouted at the notion that Jihoon would leave him with 3 strangers even if they ‘were nice’ he wanted Jihoon.
they stayed like that till Jihoon and Dohoon returned maybe 15 minutes later “sorry for the wait” Jihoon says before plopping himself down right beside Youngjae, “especially to this guy” ruffling his hair as he spoke. Youngjae rushed to fix how Jihoon had messed it up.
”don’t mess up my hair Jihoon-ah” the pout on Youngjaes face deepened. “Sorry Youngjae, you just looked cute..” a flush becoming apparent on Jihoon's face
”Ok lovebirds, what about us?” Dohoon says. Both Youngjae and Jihoon are far too embarrassed to deny it.
“Ignore them Dohoon, I'm sure they’ll eventually pop out of their bubble” Hanjin says.
***
They in fact stayed in their bubble for the entirety of the lunch break. Their conversation not breaching more than the most basic, surface level topics, both far too flustered to do anything more or less.
The last few hours of classes blended into one, Youngjae unable to pry his eyes off of Jihoon's face, finding himself particularly infatuated with the way his blonde hair fell over his eyes.
His eyes fixed on Jihoon until the school bell rang, announcing the end of their classes for the day. Youngjae packing up his barely used notebook and stationary, zipping his bag closed as he hears the screeching of the chair behind him being pushed in and the boy that’s been filling his every thought appearing beside him “let’s walk home now Youngjae-ah” Jihoons voice having this lightness to it, An air that makes something that has Youngjae's heart doing flips while Jihoon sounds so… casual about... like this is the norm.
a deep flush setting onto Youngjae's face as he stammers out “oh- sure- lets go then!” Standing up, Jihoon slinging his arm around his shoulder. Youngjae's pulse reached a speed that should be concerning if not for who was causing it — Youngjae feeling like even if he fainted he’d still be safe because he's in Jihoon's arms.
”Youngjae, are you feeling ok?” Jihoon pushed a hand towards Youngjae's forehead to check his temperature "You're really warm, maybe we should take you to the nurse?” Jihoon ponders.
”ah! No- Jihoon im ok, I really am.. I just get warm really easily! That’s all!” Youngjae hoping his spur of the moment lie can get him out of Jihoon being sickly sweet and caring towards him for a moment, a moment he needs to just breathe something other than the scent of Han jihoon.
”Are you sure? I think we should circle back to the nurse just to be safe, I don't want you to get sick, who’ll take care of you?!” Jihoon seemed very convinced Youngjae was coming down with something and not just horribly flustered.
”I’m really feeling ok Jihoon, just a little warm and even if I did get sick I’m sure you’d take care of Jihoon” leaning back into his spot in Jihoon's arms as he speaks.
”Ok, but seriously if this is the same tomorrow I'm taking you to see someone” Jihoon pouting slightly, Youngjae finding him horribly cute, it really should be illegal for someone to look like that.
Neither spoke much until they reached the door to their dorm room.
“Do you wanna go out for food tonight? I promised you we would last night but only if you feel up to it” Jihoon fumbling over his words, clearly flustered.
“Sure, there’s no tests to study for yet — we're gonna invite any of the others?” Youngjae questions, selfishly wanting it to be just the two of them
”I was hoping just the two of us could go..” Jihoon softly said
Oh.
Oh.
Jihoon wanted to go on a date, not just go out to supper as friends but like a couple date thing.
”I- uh- sure! Tha- that sounds good” Youngjaes face a bright red, barely able to form a coherent sentence.
“Ok, what kinda food do you want to get?” Jihoon did not seem to register how flustered Youngjae was.
”anything’s good!” Youngjae sputters out, still barely able to form a thought.
”Hotpot good?” Jihoon asks, Youngjae nodding his head in agreement.
”yeah that sounds great!!” Youngjae's mouth watering at the thought of the delicious broth's vegetables.
***
Despite spending the hours between when they got back to the dorm and going out for supper in the same 4 walls neither spoke, both sat at their respective desks — Youngjae studying the little amount of content they were given today, Jihoon he guesses is watching some kind of anime from the tiny bit he can see of his screen.
Youngjae closes his laptop and puts his math notes off to the corner of his desk, getting up and sifting through his suitcase for something acceptable to wear on a date. His uniform was too fancy, jeans and a tee too casual.
he finds himself beginning to pace his side of the room, internally debating what he should wear on a date. It’s not like he can. Ask Jihoon, that would make his feelings obvious! But he doesn’t have anyone else to ask, as to why he’s been pacing for what must be 30 minutes now.
”Youngjae! You’ve been pacing for 30 minutes now, are you sure you aren’t sick or something?!” The same concern from their walk back seeping into His voice
“Yes, I’m fine Jihoon. I’ve just never gone out like this with a friend…” The word friend feeling like it was laced with poison as he spoke, unable to say the word date, but they aren’t just hanging out. They do that all day if you really think about it.
”Ok, just checking in” That same stupid cute smile on his face, the soft tone of voice making Youngjae want to crawl into a corner and never leave.
“Jihoon, what are you wearing later?” Youngjae busting the bullet and asking the only person he can ask.
“Not sure, just something casual.” pausing for a second before asking “why?”
“Can’t decide what to wear…” embarrassment creeping up quickly on Youngjae
“Then why don't you just wear your uniform then? Don’t gotta think much about that” Jihoon suggests like it was the easiest solution. “I mean yeah.. but it feels way like a bit much if we aren’t going straight from school you know?” The flush on Youngjae's face grows an even deeper shade of red.
“Yeah, I guess. Just wear whatever Youngjae does, it's really not that big of a deal” Jihoon making an attempt at easing Youngjae's nerves, it serves as a small Band-Aid over the gushing wound of his anxieties and ever growing feelings for Jihoon.
***
After what felt like an eternity, Youngjae decided on an outfit and was on his way with Jihoon in tow, both dressed quite differently for the occasion.
Youngjae has settled for a well worn pair of jeans, a white tank, and black cardigan that hugs his figure. Something pretty and dressed up while not being super over the top — he had to look nice, this is a date?! But he also didn’t want to seem desperate for Jihoon's attention. Jihoon is something far more casual, finding himself in the same clothes he would wear to the dance studio, loose, comfortable, and making him look effortlessly charming.
“Let’s get going Youngjae, we wouldn’t want to be off schedule would we ?” Jihoon says with a teasing glint to his voice, Jihoon already having observed Youngjae's love for structure and routine, his face cloths maintained to a concerning level of perfection.
“Yeah, let's go” Youngjae responded, in a moment of reckless confidence grabbing Jihoon's hand.
The two walked hand-in-hand until they arrived at the hotpot restaurant, the hostess guiding them to a quaint corner table before leaving them with their menus.
the menus filled to the brim with different base, noodle, meat, and vegetable options, enough to overwhelm anyone unfamiliar with the dish. “Youngjae, order whatever you want. I'm good with whatever makes you the happiest” Jihoon closes his menu, leaving the food decisions fully to Youngjae.
”oh! Ok. I don't know what you like though… I wouldn’t want to order something you’d hate Jihoon…” trailing off onto why he shouldn’t be allowed to make this decision completely on his own.
“I’m not picky, Youngjae, it's really ok. Just get whatever you like!!” Jihoon throws him a thumbs up as the waiter comes around to take their drink orders before quickly leaving the two to their own devices.
”Why’d you only wanna come to the two of us? I'm sure Dohoon and the others would’ve wanted to come. Youngjae was both happy that Jihoon wanted it to be just him and confused as to why it was only the two of them.
”I went out with the rest of them yesterday, duh” His voice light and teasing “and I wanted to get to know you more...” Jihoons voice becoming softer towards the end
”Ok well, what did you want to know? Ask away Jihoon” Youngjae gesturing for him to begin. “Ok well, why did you transfer? You don't see a lot of people after the first year, at least for exchange students” Jihoon asks, genuine curiosity filling his eyes.
”I was a top student back home, had a bunch off opportunities to study overseas, so many that from just fully exploring all of the big names I missed the deadline for decisions” embarrassed as he recalls this mistake “so I ended up just going to one of the high schools in my area while we continued to look at ones abroad before settling on here after months of debating it. My parents just want me to do well in life and it just so happens this school is the best place to achieve that in their eyes” a twinge of sadness in Youngjae's voice as he says the last part, missing the warm home cooked meals and comfort of his childhood bedroom.
”What made it so appealing?”
“The huge amount of Korean exchange students, and quality of education — my parents wanted a good place but also somewhere that would have something with a semblance to home” Home. That one word in almost all of his answers.
”So your parents just wanted you to get a good education? That’s all?” Jihoon questions, doubting that's all there is to it. "Couldn't you have just gone to school in Seoul then?”
“I mean yeah, but when you have the top schools from so many countries that I could’ve easily gotten into, why would I stay? Get new experiences, learn to live on my own” part of Youngjae wishing he’d stayed, just gone to school in Seoul but with parents who wanted him to go further than they ever could how could he say no to their aspirations for him.
”yeah, I guess” Jihoon pausing for a moment “no more school! What about you? Tell me about yourself, outside of being a good student” Jihoon seemed more excited about this part.
“Ok, I mean what do you want to know..?” Youngjae felt confused by the broadness of the question. “Just tell me what you like, you know the things that make you, well you” Jihoon explains with a slight sparkle in his eyes
”I mean, I haven’t done much outside studying in years” pausing as he tries to recall what he likes “I guess I like reading? I do that sometimes…”
“Do you seriously not have a favourite artist or something?!” Jihoon's shocked expression is something he wishes he could frame “not really… unless we count Tchaikovsky…” Youngjae slowly realizes how little he actually enjoys doing.
”Wow. Youngjae we gotta get you out more often — for the time we’re roommates I want to help you find these things, find out the person beneath all the studies.”
The two fall into mundane conversation, sifting from Jihoon's antics to the events of Youngjae's quite boring life before meeting Jihoon. The pair walked back to their dorms once more, hand in hand.
***
Days pass, the two fall into routine while Youngjae’s feelings become harder and harder to deny, every conversation he has with jihoon his eyes linger on his lips, the soft supple curve of them, the light layer of lip balm he always sees him applying.
the bell ringing, signaling the end of their school week, a short period of rest, a period where he will no longer have a blissful distraction from Jihoon. The two as they’ve begun on the daily walking back to their dorm. Sometimes Dohoon, or Junghwan trailing behind, more often than not it was just them.
The moments where he would allow himself to stare at Jihoons face, the flush on Jihoons cheeks, the crinkle of his eyes, the sharp contrast of the blonde hair with dark eyebrows. Youngjae feels as though he could stare at Jihoon for hours and still find new things he loves about him.
”Jihoon-ah..? Have you ever kissed someone?” Youngjae asks, something he’s pondered in the early morning hours “Yeah, I have? Why?” Jihoon sounded confused.
”oh..” the disappointment seeping into his tone, selfishly hoping he could be Jihoons first as he hoped Jihoon would be his “I was just curious, nothing more”
“Well what about you Youngjae?” Jihoon asks. “I haven’t had a real one yet, too focused on school for stuff like that…” small reminders of the bleak, boring, and isolating life he lived before moving here.
”ah, I kinda expected that, y’know everything you tell me about your life so far feels like watching paint dry in a way. You really didn't do anything other than well… study…” Jihoons observes.
The pair now back in their room, sat on their beds facing each other “Well Jihoon, I don’t wanna seem inexperienced and dumb when I do have my first kiss so can we maybe practice together?” Youngjae paused, realizing how that sounds “I really just want to know what I'm doing for future reference! That’s really all it is! Nothing more I swear!” Trying to not make his feelings obvious.
”I mean, why not. I've never kissed another guy though” Jihoon began to blush, seeming nervous about the idea but not opposed to it.
The two sit and stare at each other for a long moment, Jihoon being the one to break the silence “how do you wanna do this? I don't know how any of this works…” Jihoon mumbles
“I dunno either” Youngjae says as he scratches his head, a deep flush on his cheeks “You suggested it! how can you not know!” Jihoon says, an uncontrollable laughter filling the room, both staring at each other and laughing at the kind of stupidity of what they’re going to do.
”Come over here”, patting the spot next to him, Youngjae moving over as though something had physically forced him. “I only know how kissing works with a girl so! You're gonna be the girl, ok Youngjae?” Jihoon states.
“Why am I the girl?!” Youngjae says feigning anger, in an attempt to hide how nervous he was! Like who wouldn’t when a super hot, good looking guy was telling you to straddle him?! Youngjae feels as though he's going to short circuit, if it was possible smoke would be emitting from the top of his head!
”Dunno.. just come here Youngjae, this is the way I know how to do it so just please?” Jihoon gave him the worst puppy eyes known to man.
Youngae doesn't respond, just climbing onto the others lap as he was told, moving around as he finds a position most comfortable, hearing a little “mmh!” From Jihoon as he does.
”Are you ok Jihoon?” Youngjae asks, concerned for his friend “yeah I’m ok, lets just get this done now” Jihoon space a deep, deep shade of red.
”ok, so angle your head like this,” Youngjae said, moving his head as Jihoon instructed “yeah that's good! Now hold my head the same way im holding yours” Youngjae diligently following Jihoon's instructions “and now all that's left is to well kiss, close your eyes if you want” Jihoon's last attempt at trying to act like this isn’t affecting him as much as it really is.
as their lips meet Youngjae finds himself wishing he had applied some lip balm, not that his lips were chapped! Just Jihoons were so smooth, so well, perfect. Their mouths move in tandem. Jihoon's lips are soft and supple, leaving Youngjae wanting more when Jihoon pulls away, his breathing heavy “Was that any good?” He asks
“Yea- it was really good” Youngjae panting as well “Can we do it again…?” Youngjae asks, rather than a response he feels Jihoon's lips crash against him, less cautious, not hiding how much he likes this anymore.
Jihoon's tongue Youngjae lightly grazed his bottom lip, Youngjae gasping in shock, Jihoon taking advantage of that moment pushing his tongue into Youngjae's mouth. Feeling foreign but not bad… he begins to push against Jihoon until he's eventually out of breath, pulling away from Jihoon, feeling like he's seeing stars.
”Holy shit…” Youngjae exclaims “good I take it?” Jihoon with a kind of cocky smile on his face.
”Yeah. We should do this more.. for practice… for when I eventually get a girlfriend…” not even Youngjae believes the words that are leaving his mouth as he gets up, heading to their shared bathroom.
as he hears the doors lock click his body falls limp, the counter being all that supports him. He is so fucked. He just made out with his very attractive, pretty, amazing, roommate.
