Summary
The train station is under repair for an indefinite time, forcing Yoru to stay in Lumiose City. When night falls, Yoru finds herself caught in a Battle Zone and attempts to escape. Under strange circumstances she fatefully encounters—and saves—Corbeau. He returns the debt by celebrating the Lunar New Year with her.
--“I don’t usually drink. But on occasion, I do indulge.” He swirls the glass with one hand and drinks. Then, he offers it to her. “It’s good. Have some.”
She stares at him for a long second. He is kinder than he lets on. But to go such lengths for me? A complete stranger? It's beyond a mere thank you, like a toast.
Gingerly, Yoru reaches for the glass. Their fingers brush—that second lasting longer than an eternity—and the hands of time whisper for her to take the glass from him.
A fragrant, lemony scent wafts to her nose. She sees a faint mark of where his lips press against the rim, and she sips from the same spot.
