Summary
When Jesper burst through the door of their makeshift base 2 weeks ago, with a gleam in his eyes and a crumpled flyer in his hands that promised a 40 million kruger reward to anyone who could find the lost Lantsov princess, Kaz thought he was finally having some long overdue good luck.
The mission seemed easy enough - find some actress who could do a convincing enough impression, ship her off to Ravka, and claim his portion of the reward - 8 million kruge with which he would finally be able to buy back the Crow Club and destroy Pekka Rollin’s empire, once and for all.
Except, because things are rarely simple where the Crows are concerned, the 'fake' they find to play the lost princess seems a little too accurate. And to matters things worse, something about her is stopping him from thinking straight. Kaz Brekker doesn't develop attatchements and he most certainly does not fall in love, but it feels like he's getting suspiciously close.
What could go wrong, right?
