“Minho, tell me you're joking.”
Hyunjin sat at the roughly hewn table in his best friend's hut, wrinkling his nose in displeasure as the heavy, spicy scent of approaching heat kept assaulting his senses. Around him, bundles of dried herbs and hides hung on the walls, the air smelled of wood and ash from the cooled hearth, but that scent — foreign, sticky — cut through everything.
“Do you think I'm happy about it?” Minho wearily rubbed his flushed face with his palms. His voice sounded muffled, hoarse. He sat opposite, legs tucked under him, trying to breathe evenly, but sweat was already beading on his forehead. His entire body, clad in a simple linen shirt, was tense like a bowstring.
“But why?” Hyunjin threw up his hands, his indignant voice echoing through the small hut. “Why today of all days? Today is the day Chan and I bind ourselves before the Moon and the pack! And you...” he dramatically sniffled, pressing his hands to his chest, though genuine, undisguised frustration splashed in his dark eyes.
or: Minho's heat comes on the day his best friend Hyunjin marries his alpha. Their younger omega, Felix, comes to the rescue, and on this day Moon blesses not only the newlyweds.
