Summary
The Giant War is over. Gaea is dead. Percy Jackson should be finished with impossible things.
He isn't.
Something is moving through the oldest bones of the world — deeper than Titans, older than Olympians, predating the gods' first names for themselves. Gaea's death wasn't an ending. It was a signal. And the things that heard it have been waiting, patient and vast, since before the concept of waiting existed.
Percy carries the domains of Chronos now. He's learning what that means alongside the Hunters of Artemis, in rain-soaked forests and ancient rivers, in the careful distance between two people who are both very old in different ways and neither of whom asks for help easily.
The primordials are stirring. Not all of them. Not yet.
But the ones that are awake remember a world that existed before the Olympian order — and not all of them are interested in its continued survival.
