Summary
A mercenary leaves her band and travels to a run down city at the bottom of a chasm. Once a thriving metropolis and centre for an up and coming religion, its river has shrunk, its prophet has died in disgrace and noble families are in a power struggle hidden from the public. What remains is hunger, crime, fear of unholy black magic afoot and an opium epidemic.
