"And then Anxin choked while he was downing the whole bottle, it literally sprayed out of his nose!" Sangwon leant back in his chair, spoon still in hand as he burst into loud laughter. Leo sat in front of him, his elbows resting on the table, his head leant in one of his hands as he listened intently to the story Sangwon was telling him. "What are you looking at?" Sangwon sat up properly now, raising an eyebrow at Leo as he took another spoonful of the bingsu sitting in front of him.
"Just admiring the pretty boy in front of me" Leo hummed, his gaze never turning away from Sangwon who was now redder than a tomato. Sangwon waved his hands in front of him in annoyance before shoving the huge spoonful of bingsu into his mouth. Leo laughed at him as he grabbed his own spoon and took his own spoonful, eating it slowly as he watched Sangwon grumble in front of him.
It was their unofficial 'one month' anniversary, they hadn't yet established their relationship but it was pretty close to being one, the two of them were inseparable. Literally attached at the hip, Sangwon couldn't even remember a single day that he and Leo had spent apart after their first date, it was like they already had developed separation anxiety with one another. And today, one month exactly from the day they both met—at the carnival where Leo was working—Sangwon had dragged Leo out in the cold to go and get bingsu to celebrate. Not the best choice of dessert for a cold day in November, but how could Leo say no when Sangwon was looking up at him with his big pleading eyes?
"If you eat too fast, you'll get a brain-freeze. Slow down, Love." Leo teased as he watched Sangwon eat spoonful after spoonful, hurrying to finish his food thanks to Leo promising to take him shopping afterwards. "We have plenty of time to go shopping, enjoy it, there's no—" Leo was cut off by the sound that came out of Sangwon's mouth, the spoon dropping out of his hand—rattling loudly on the table—before he instinctively slapped his hand against his forehead. Leo could only laugh, he had warned him and now he was paying the price for not listening to him.
"Aghhhh—" Sangwon had both hands on his head now, shaking it side to side to try and get the brain-freeze to fuck off as quickly as possible. Leo stood up, his chair scraping against the floor loudly as he wrapped around the table to stand beside Sangwon, pulling his body against himself to try and offer comfort.
"Silly boy, I told you." Leo laughed, rubbing his hands through his hair as Sangwon melted against his side. "Come on, it seems like you're finished, let's get out of here?" Sangwon hummed as he stood up, still keeping himself pressed against Leo as they walked out of the cafe they were in. Sangwon pulled away a little so he could grab hold of Leo's hand as they walked side by side down the street, the wind was colder than when they had left earlier in the afternoon and the clouds were starting to grey.
"It looks like it's going to rain.." Sangwon pouted, which made Leo squeeze his hand with a soft smile. They hadn't anticipated for the rain so neither of them had brought an umbrella, but from the looks of things it probably wasn't going to start pouring just yet so they were safe—for now.
They had spoken too soon however as they got about half way to Sangwon's favourite store—a little antique shop on the corner of the street—the rain started to pour. It was small at first, a light shower a few droplets dropping onto their faces, however that didn't last long as it started to bucket down with rain unexpectedly. They broke out into a sprint as they rushed to the end of the street to the familiar shop, the dim lighting inside spilling out of the window into the grey street. Sangwon and Leo caught their breaths under the shade of the building, breaking out into laughter as they stood there; their hair dripping with water and their clothes drenched.
They headed inside, the small shop smelling nostalgic, that familiar smell of old wood and rusted metal. The wooden floorboards creaked beneath their feet, Leo's heavy boots echoing through the store as they slowly walked around. Sangwon loved to just look, he never really bought much aside from a few old poetry books sometimes, or a few scarves that he liked the look of. But he loved to look at everything, he could get lost in there for hours, and Leo didn't mind keeping him company as he watched Sangwon smile at random items.

The two of them exited the store, one very large and heavy plastic bag hanging from Leo's arm also exited with them. Sangwon had gone a little haywire with the poetry books and managed to get Leo to buy him fifteen of them, because only a few wasn't going to be enough apparently. After a little bit of convincing and a few kisses, Leo managed to get him to only buy ten of them, and a cute spoon because he apparently also really needed to have that as well. Sangwon was extremely happy as they stood outside the shop, he was buzzing with excitement; eager to get home so he got dive straight into reading his new books. There was one issue though, the rain had not subsided just yet and it was still pouring, and Sangwon's place was a good ten minute walk still.
"How about we get an uber, baby?" Leo questioned, slipping out his phone from his pocket with his free hand, already pulling up the app so he could order one. He had only looked away for not even a minute to get one booked, so when he turned back towards Sangwon—who was now missing—he was extremely confused. "Sangwon??" Leo called out, turning around to look further down the street to where the familiar blonde haired boy was now… jumping in a puddle?
"Sangwon!? What are you doing, oh my god!" Leo yelled, rushing towards him, the rain hitting against him as he stepped out into the street where Sangwon was busy jumping between puddles on the empty road. "You're going to catch a cold if you jump around in those, come here!" Leo hissed, signalling for him to come back under the shade of the buildings lining the street, the rain beginning to pour down harder, the clouds drawing in even more. Sangwon didn't seem to care though, he was enjoying himself, his boots were soaked and the cuffs of his jeans dark now from the water. A big smile plastered his face as he felt like a kid again, jumping around in the rain like he used to with his sisters during the winters all those years ago.
It took a while to convince Sangwon to finally come under the shade so he could at least dry off a little before the uber came, but Leo luckily managed to get him to listen. "What were you doing, silly boy?" Leo hummed, slipping off his hoodie so he could use it as a makeshift towel to dry off Sangwon's hair, rubbing the fabric against it. Sangwon giggled, not actually responding to the question, just enjoying Leo's gentle rubbing against his head as he swung back and forth on his feet. He didn't have a reason, other than the sudden urge to just jump around in the rain, like nothing mattered for a moment.
The uber pulled up at the side of the road after a few minutes, Leo grabbed hold of Sangwon's hand, lacing their fingers together as they walked over to it. "Let's get you home so we can dry you off, hopefully you don't get sick after that." Leo laughed, squeezing Sangwon's hand tightly as they walked side by side.
