"Baby, I told you so, didn't I?" Leo cooed, brushing Sangwon's hair out of his eyes as he lay in bed, curled up tightly under the covers. Sangwon was sick, of course. He had woken up the next day after playing in the rain with a horrible fever and body pains, he had to call off work for the day, and luckily Leo also had the day off so he could stay home and take care of him. Sangwon whined, pulling the covers up over his face, hiding it from Leo who was now laughing at him fondly. "Don't hide from me, love.." Leo gripped the edge of the blanket, tugging it down slightly so that he was able to see Sangwon's beautiful eyes, he melted instantly, immediately coming in to give him a soft kiss to his forehead; Sangwon instantly blushing.
Leo shuffled himself off of the bed, slowly walking out of the room which earned him a sad whine from Sangwon who didn't want him to leave. Leo exited the room anyways after reassuring the sickly boy that he'd be back in a moment as he was just heading to the kitchen to make some food, since neither of them had yet to have breakfast. Sangwon snuggled back under the covers once Leo exited the room, drifting back into sleep as he warmed himself in his bed.
The kettle hissed before Leo quickly flicked it off, bringing it over to the two mugs sitting on the counter, teabags already laying inside of them. He poured the boiling water into the mugs, the sweet scent of the tea filling the air around him as he hummed. He was sure Sangwon wasn't going to be that hungry, he usually isn't when he's unwell like this but Leo still decided to make him some toast just to see if he'd eat it. Just as he was thinking about it, the toast popped up in the toaster, perfectly cooked, a little on the darker side just the way Sangwon liked it. He plated the pieces onto a random plate from the cupboard, applying a light layer of butter on top of it—Sangwon was a little picky about his toast, he liked it with minimal toppings—before he picked up both the plate and one of the two mugs, making his way back to the bedroom.
Leo crept inside the room quietly making his way back over to the bed, Sangwon having fallen asleep in the ten minutes he was away in the kitchen. He placed the plate of toast down onto the bedside table, the mug clinking down beside it before he quietly made his way back into the kitchen to grab his own mug before heading back. When he came back into the bedroom, Sangwon was now stirring awake, shifting the covers down from him slightly with a yawn. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hands, a small hum escaping from his mouth when he stretched slightly in his spot before he immediately broke out into a cough.
"My poor baby." Leo's voice softened, quickly walking over and placing his mug beside Sangwon's before slipping his hand onto his back, rubbing it in circles to comfort Sangwon who was still coughing. "I've got you some tea, it'll help with the cough." Leo reached for the mug sitting on the bedside table, bringing it over towards Sangwon who grabbed it—almost dropping it—the warmth of the tea warming him up instantly as his lips pulled into a small smile. The bed dipped slightly as Leo rounded to the other side of it, sinking down into the mattress beside Sangwon, his own cup of tea in his hands.
Leo quickly got up, retrieving his laptop from the desk in Sangwon's room before coming straight back to his spot on the bed, flipping it open and diving straight into work. Although Sangwon was home sick today from his own job, Leo had work he needed to get done for his even though he wished he was able to give Sangwon all of his attention today. He had to pay his rent somehow, so he needed to at least get a little bit of work done while he was at Sangwon's place taking care of him.
"You made me toast?" Sangwon glanced at the plate, leaning over and grabbing it before bringing it to settle in his lap over the covers. Leo gave him a small nod—briefly looking away from his work, as he watched Sangwon take a bite of the still warm toast, he was glad he was at least eating. "Thank you, hyung!" Sangwon spoke, toast in his mouth as he spat out a few crumbs along with his words; clearly enjoying the food.
They had only known each other a month, but Sangwon was prone to getting sick from what Leo had observed, and the last time wasn't pretty—Sangwon hadn't been able to keep any food down for almost a week. Thankfully, this was just a cold and would likely subside within the next few days and Sangwon would be back to his usual talkative and cheery self. Even though Leo had to admit he was cute like this, wrapped up in blankets, that soft look in his eyes whenever Leo rested his hand against his forehead to check his temperature, and the constant begging for cuddles that he could never refuse.
And that's exactly what they did for the rest of the day, despite Leo having something he had to work on for one of his many jobs, there was no way in hell he could deny Sangwon of anything he wanted of him. So when the younger boy sat there with his big doe eyes, looking at Leo like he could give him the whole world—cuddles—Leo didn't hesitate for even a second, closing his laptop shut and placing it on the floor beside the bed.
Their mugs lay forgotten on the bedside table, the two of them both under the covers, Leo's large arms wrapped warmly around Sangwon's body, pulling him as close as he possibly could. Sangwon's head rest gently against Leo's chest, his breathing soft as he found himself falling back into sleep—which was all he wanted to do today—and Leo watched him, his heart hammering in his chest like it always does when they're close to one another like this. He knew he needed to make Sangwon his boyfriend—they basically already were—he just needed to find the correct time and make sure the moment was special. As Sangwon fell asleep, Leo stayed awake trying to come up with the perfect idea and activity they could do so that Leo could finally ask Sangwon to officially be his partner.
