Chapter Text
The sun disappears behind the trees leaving Avid alone in the woods with a unwelcomed guest.
"Who's there!? Show yourself!" Avid Yells through the thick branches. "You're cute when you're scared, y'know."
A shadowy tall figure zips between the branches watching Avid's every move carefully. "I'm not afraid of you! Show yourself!" Avid reaches for his stake but doesn't feel anything there. Avid hears a giggle behind him but before he can react he feels cold arms wrapping around his waist and turning him to face a tall vampire looming over him with pleasure in his eyes. The vampire looks hungry and won't stop himself from taking a bite. "Who are you?!" Avid tries to scramble free from the tall vampire but he has no success. "I'm Scott! and you?" "I'm Avid..." Scott stares at him more happily now.
"Can you stop staring at me......" Avid murmurs impatiently. "No. You look soo tasty, how can i turn my back to such a great opportunity to have a snack" Avid shift uncomfortably. Before Avid can say anything Scott lifted up his chin and dug his fangs into Avid tasting the sweet blood. Avid looks at Scott horrified in what he is doing. Scott finally pulls away leaving Avid shocked and tired. Avid slips out of consciousness falling to the warm grass. The elder Vampire bridal carries him away from where he is so nobody can steal his food again.
Avid jolts awake looking around nervously making sure that he was alone. He slowly starts getting out of bed and making his way down the ladder to see drift. "Idk man he's been really jumpy lately and I'm worried for him" Avid recognizes that voice as Drift's . "He's still young and i understand" Avid recognizes that voice as Abolish's. "Wait... Why is abolish here....... " Avid makes his way to Drift and Abolish talking to each other while having tea. Avid sits down to join the conversation. "Hey Avid! What's up Bud?" Drift says with a bitter taste in her mouth. "Not much.."
"Hey Avid why isn't your neck wrapped in bandages?" Abolish asks. Avid starts panicking, remembering that he just woke up and last night Scott bit him. "Oh! uh.... thanks for reminding me about that i-i'll be right back!
Avid runs back up to his bed and tries to find his bandages. He finds them, he starts rapidly bandaging his neck and he starts thinking of what Abolish or drift would have said if they found out. He finishes wrapping and starts crying curling up in a ball on the floor.
"Heyyy Aviddddd where did you go? oh there you are!" Drift comes running up to Avid comforting him. Abolish watches eyeing the crying man on the floor with an unreadable expression.
Avid slips out of consciousness and finds himself in a black room. "HELLO?! IS ANYBODY HERE?!" Avid feels the darkness trying to consume his mind but he tries to fight back but in the momment he heard a familiar voice. "Sweet innocent Avid has found himself in a bit of a hole." Avid recognizes that voice.
Scott.
"What do you want? Why am i here?" Avid Scoffs. "It's simple dear. I own your soul now so sucks to be cute i guess."
Avid's mind is spinning as he sits on those words like it's the reason he is living. Avid gains consciousness after about an hour.
Avid looks around the room trying to find someone but no one is there. Avid decides to try and look for Scott when the sun sets. As the sun lowers itself out of sight Avid sneaks off into the woods with a stake and nothing to lose.
Avid appears at the same spot that Scott met him the night before
Scott appears behind Avid like last night and Avid turns to face Scott with a stake in hand ready to swing if he tries to bite. Instead Scott grabs the stake and lowers it dropping it onto the grass. Scott bring Avid a little bit closer so that he's touching his chest. Scott feels Avid's human warmth against his cold body. Avid finds Scott to be lowkey handsome and touches his head to the vampire's shoulder. They stay like that for a while until Avid falls asleep in Scott's arms, Scott picks Avid up and walks to the Castle where he is met with a group of vampires but instead of talking he walks by silent and stealthy
Scott gently places Avid onto a soft bed. Scott smiles down at the little human all curled up. Scott eventually leaves to talk to the other vampires that they walked by earlier.

Avid pulls out his stake but before he can reacted she was on top of him sinking her fangs into Avid's neck tearing the flesh away.
.-Real time-.
Avid wakes up and starts clawing at his bandages leaving red marks on his neck. As he is panicking he feels his head on something warm and looks up to see Scott staring down at him. The elder vampire starts playing with Avid's hair, brushing through it with his sharp claws making sure he doesn't cut Avid. "Why are you here?" asks Avid. "I sensed your fear and came to see if you weren't dying." " Um.. Thanks..." A rush of blood flows to Avid's head making him dizzy.
Avid tries to stand up but just falls back down hitting his head hard against the floor making him even more dizzy. Scott giggles at Avid's helplessness. " You're so cute when you're hurt." Scott walks over and picks Avid up to put him back on the bed.
