Chapter Text

He was at his job as a doctor at the Lost Temple, even after fleeting Blackrock because it felt like a prison and was a prison, his job still annoyed the ever living hell out of him. At least it wasn't a minimum wage job, but he was unhappy with it.
That didn't matter now though, he was reading a book Scythe recommended him. Like most people in the Lost Temple, he accepted religion but wasn't religious, this was about a 'Ruler of everything', which was okay - this was fictional. Even though Scythe was passionate about it - maybe it was like she gave him a Bible. But that didn't matter, this shit was interesting...
The god was depicted as many things - but their face never described as more than "Robot like"... But the deity itself wasn't described as a robot. Maybe no one saw the deities face? Probably.
The more he read the more interested he was, a fictional, possibly real deity caught the interest of a sleep deprived medic? Surprising. Very surprising.
The deity wasn't described as nice, or mean - it was described as rather morally gray and selective about showing their emotions. Oftentimes not showing any at all.
Medkit was also bad at emotions, so that was relatable.
He got to maybe half of the large book he was gifted before sliding in a bookmarker and closing the book. He then layed in his bed and slid under the covers - he never expected to take interest in any deity in any way.

"So, Med, did y' like the book I gave ya'?"
"It's nice, never took myself as someone who'd be interested in fictional theology"
"Med, it's not fictional."
"What?"
"You wouldn't understand mechanical hands or the ruler of everything..."
"Scythe don't quote something that's wrong."
"I'm jus' adjustin' it to fit the situation."
"Good for you."
Medkit drank the entire cup of coffee he made himself we soon as it got warm. He remembered he had work so he said bye to Scythe, Katana and Sword before taking his coat and driving off to work.
