Summary
Robby is running on caffeine, spite, and a body that is starting to fail him, and Jack can see it even when Robby pretends everything is fine. The ER never slows down long enough for either of them to breathe, but when a brutal shift pushes Robby too far, Jack refuses to let him keep going until he breaks. Loving someone who won’t stop burning themselves out means stepping in and holding the line for them, even when they fight you on it.
