It had been a year after the Blu Collision disaster, with the people of Earth recovering from this tragic event, all the while dealing with the emerging threat of the Earth Demon Beasts and the casualties they create. This resulted in the formation of the Earth Defense Force (EDF), an attack team dedicated to defeating the Earth Demon Beasts. With the help of the various alien races from across the galaxy that were living on Earth, they were able to succeed in defeating the Earth Demon Beasts.
As all of this was happening, however, two trails of light, one blue and one red, were seen from outer space, duking it out as they land on the Moon. The blue light belonged to an giant of light, Ultraman Meteor, while the red light belonged to Galactron, the latest creation of the Dark Cluster Army, created by the artificial intelligence known as Gillvalis. It turns out Meteor had been chasing down Galactron during the Dark Cluster’s ambush on Planet Esmerelda, resulting in a clash that spanned across space, leading Meteor and Galactron to the Moon’s surface.
The two fought to a standstill. Meteor was able to get back on his feet thanks to his energy absorbing abilities. Galactron meanwhile had suffered minimal damage from the clash, and was about to counterattack. Using the Galactron Shaft, the Civil Judgementor grabbed Meteor by the torso and threw him across the field, crashing towards a cliffside. Getting back up on his feet once again, Ultraman Meteor then drew his Meteora Saber, named so because it was emitted from the Meteora Gauntlet, and proceeded to dash forward and slice the Civil Judgmentor in half. However, Galactron managed to block it using the Galactron Blade, and used the claws on its arm cannon to wound Meteor.
But Meteor himself wasn’t done yet. He landed a few kicks on Galactron, making dents on the armor in the process. But Galactron, needing a means to counterattack, using its left arm to tackle Meteor to the ground, preventing him from escaping.
Luckily, Meteor was able to escape, dodging the gunfire from Galactron’s arm cannon. However, he was later stunned using the Galactron Banisher, bringing him back to the ground. Galactron then launches the Galactron Shaft towards Meteor, only for the latter to grab the braid by the midsection and tear it out from one of its joints, rendering it useless. He then fired the Meteor Cosmius against Galactron, damaging the right shoulder, the lower base of the neck, and the chest as a result. It was at that point that Meteor’s Energy Gauge started blinking, forcing him to finish the battle as soon as possible. Galactron itself would escape, while Meteor gives chase, tracking him down to Earth’s orbit.
As Meteor and Galactron’s battle is taken to Earth orbit, several civilians witness their battle from afar, chief among them photographer Sizumu, his assistant Naomi Yumeno, Naomi’s brother Shinji, and future EDF captain Mirajane Nunnally, who was working with the Kyoto Scientific Research Team (KSRT) at the time. Little did they know, they would become the first humans Ultraman Meteor had ever encountered.
Meanwhile, as the two began exhausting their energies, it seems the battle was about to head towards a stalemate. Galactron would launch the arm cannon towards Meteor, only for him to slice it in two with the Meteora Saber. Afterwards, Galactron uses its Galactron Blade and lunges towards Meteor, who counterattacked with a Particle Feather, damaging the Blade in the process.
Running out of options, Galactron then activates its final attack, the Galactron Spark, and fired it towards Meteor. Meteor would then counter with a beam attack of his own, the Meteor Galaxis, causing both beams to clash. The people of Earth bore witness to it as a beam clash ensues before their very eyes.
The beam clash ends, resulting in an explosion, causing the battle to end in a stalemate. Galactron is destroyed, with its remnants remaining in orbit before landing on the Moon’s surface, while Meteor, caught in the explosion, on top of being heavily injured and drained of power, turned purple, a sign that he was severely weakened by the experience, and was hurtling towards Earth.
As Meteor entered Earth’s atmosphere and into Japan, he was awe-struck by what they had to offer.
“So this is Earth…” He thought to himself.
Reverting into his human form, Masayuki Arakawa, Meteor landed in forest near Hoshimoto City. Gravely injured from his long and drawn out with Galactron, he tried to contact help through his Meteora Gauntlet, but with no luck. It was there that he was discovered by Sizumu, Naomi, and Shinji. The Yumeno siblings then promptly called for help.
Several hours later, Masayuki was admitted to a hospital. After he woke up, he was greeted by Naomi. “I’m glad you’re safe.”
“Thank you.”, replied Masayuki. “Who are you?”
“Naomi Yumeno.”
“Masayuki Arakawa.”
The two formally shake hands. He did the same for Sizumu and Shinji. The latter later reveals that he works for the Alien Immigration and Customs Bureau (AICB), and that he and Naomi had set up a place for him to live in Shinjuku. It was called the Nebula House, an apartment complex home to the various aliens across the universe. For Masayuki, it was the perfect place to call home. After he settled into the place, he went to his window and found a Kaiju terrorizing the town. It was an Earth Demon Beast, but after seeing the EDF take down the monster, Masayuki decided it was best to lay low for a while.
Meanwhile, Dr. Valis, having observed the battle through a drone installed within Galactron, was impressed with how Ultraman Meteor was able to take down the Dark Cluster Army’s latest creation.
“You now have my interest, Ultraman Meteor.”
As Dr. Valis leaves the observation deck, he visits the hangar containing Gillvalis, whose body is still under construction. The Doctor had convinced Gillvalis to create Galactron as a test run for their future creations. As he marvels in awe of Gillvalis, Dr. Valis is met by his superior, General Korshin.
“You’re not mad at the Galactron’s destruction, are you?” asks Korshin.
“It may be destroyed, but the data it gathered was highly useful. Said data can be used to improve the Galactrons by a long shot. And when that happens, Gillvalis would probably be completed by then.”
“That’s good. Anything else you had in mind?”
“Well, I had sent out the Valis Raiders for testing, mainly to improve their combat.”
As Korshin and Dr. Valis leave the hangar, Gillvalis’ eyes started glowing red, an indication that it was slowly becoming active.
