(The title card with Mix and Rubble fades in)
Mix: (reading the title) The Crew Builds a Rollercoaster!
(The episode starts with a wide pan across the beach, where people are playing and relaxing together; we pan over to Mayor Greatway and Speed Meister)
Speed Meister: Greatway, I can't believe our pets are having a playdate. (chuckles) I wonder what they're doing now…
Greatway: Well, Mr. Ducky-Doo loves to go fast, so I bet they're having an action-packed, wonderful– uh oh.
Speed Meister: Uh, how do you have an action-packed, wonderful uh oh?
(We cut to Mr. Ducky-Doo pushing Mr. McTurtle in a cardboard box)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: (grunting)
Mr. McTurtle: Whee.
(Mr. Ducky-Doo falls over)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Owww….
Mr. McTurtle: Oh… are you okay?
(Mayor Greatway and Speed Meister come over in concern)
Greatway: Looks like you two would like that cart to move faster.
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Yeah, yeah, yeah!
Mr. McTurtle: Yup-a-roozy!
(Speed Meister picks up Mr. McTurtle)
Speed Meister: With that cart? Ugh. Well, that's never gonna happen. This playdate is a bust!
(Speed Meister attempts to leave, but Mayor Greatway stops him)
Greatway: Hold on now! We just need the best builders in town. They can build something to move that cart fast in no time!
Speed Meister: I'm sorry, what was that? Oh! (chuckles) Well, thank you, Mayor Greatway! (laughs) Conveniently, the greatest builder in town is–
Greatway: Rubble and Crew!
Speed Meister: Ee-huh?!
Mr. McTurtle: I think she has a point, boss. Yup-a-roozy!
(We cut to a view of Mayor Greatway’s phone, where Rubble nudges River (a Siamese Cat) to wake up)
River: (stretches their body out and yawns) Oh, someone's calling?
Rubble: Yeah! Hi, Mayor Greatway!
(Rubble winces as loud whirring is heard)
Rubble: Sorry it's loud over here.
(We cut over to the Bark Yard)
Rubble: We're doing a lot of construction projects in the Bark Yard today!
(We cut to Mix using her paint sprayer on a wood plank, then we cut to Charger drilling in a screw on a metal pole, and finally, we cut to Wheeler sawing a wood plank. We cut back to Mayor Greatway)
Greatway: Well, you guys are the best builders in town, which is why I'm calling!
(We pan over to Speed Meister dropping his jaw in horror; he drops Mr. McTurtle as we cut back to Greatway)
Greatway: Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle are having a playdate, and they want to move fast in a cart. Can you build them something?
(We cut back to Rubble and River; Mix, Charger, and Wheeler come into the shot)
The Crew: You bet we can!
River: If you want a cart to move fast, you put it on a track…
Mix: With big hills…
Wheeler: And build…
Charger: A tuna fish sandwich!
(Cut back to Mayor Greatway)
Greatway and the Crew except Charger: Wha-?
(We cut back to Rubble and the Crew, with Charger guffawing)
Charger: (laughs) I'm only kidding, guys! We build a rollercoaster!
(We cut to Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo reacting)
Mr. McTurtle: Cool-a-roozy!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Amazing!
(Cut back to Rubble and the Crew)
River: You said it!
Rubble: And we can build it right here on the beach!
Mayor Greatway: Fantastic! You'll be the construction heroes of the playdate!
(Mayor Greatway hangs up; Speed Meister is quietly appalled… and then he freaks out)
Speed Meister: But I want to be the construction hero of the playdate! Ohhhhh…!
Mayor Greatway: Come on. While we wait for the Crew to arrive, I'll get you two a snack! Maybe some fried pickles?
(Mayor Greatway, Mr. Ducky-Doo, and Mr. McTurtle leave; Speed Meister thinks for a moment)
Speed Meister: Hmmmm… (gets an idea) Oh! I'll just build my own rollercoaster first! (cackles) Then Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo will ride my rollercoaster instead! (snickers)
(We cut to the crew arriving with all their vehicles. The Crew hop off their vehicles one by one)
Rubble: I can't wait to diggity-dig-dig a foundation for the rollercoaster!
Wheeler: I can't wait to saw wood for the frame!
Mix: I can't wait to paint it!
River: I can't wait to drill screws from high in the air!
(Tools start whirring loudly in the background)
Charger: And I can't wait to find out what that sound is…
(We pan over to Speed Meister)
Speed Meister: Well, hello, Crew! Don't bother building a rollercoaster, because as you can see, I'm almost done! (chuckles) I build fast and sort of good.
(Speed Meister bonks a nail with his hammer, denting it; he runs off and presents the rollercoaster)
Speed Meister: Ta-daaaa! You're welcome.
(We see an aerial view of Speed Meister's atrociously built rollercoaster; it starts to wobble, making the crew concerned)
Rubble: Huh?!
Wheeler: Not good! I repeat, not good!
(Mayor Greatway arrives with Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle as the Crew comes in)
Greatway: What is that?
Speed Meister: “What is that”? Ah. That is a rollercoaster, exactly what you asked for.
(A wood plank falls off the rollercoaster)
The Crew: Oooooh…
(Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo are impressed… somehow)
Mr. McTurtle: (slow, amazed gasp)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: That's incredible!
Speed Meister: I guess now I'm the construction hero of the playdate. (chuckles) Thank you! Come, little ones! Your playdate awaits!
(Speed Meister picks up Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo and puts them on the rollercoaster)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Yaaaay!
Greatway: Uh, are you sure this rollercoaster is safe?
Speed Meister: Well, it's definitely fun! (tries to start the rollercoaster)
Wheeler: WAIT!! We need a safety check! I repeat! We need a safety check!
Speed Meister: Blah blah blah blah blah. Hold on tight!
(Speed Meister starts the rollercoaster)
Speed Meister: Smile wide, and when you go down the first hill, say “wheeeeee”!
(The Crew watch in horror as the rollercoaster gets going; Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo go down the first hill)
Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle: WHEEEEEE!!
Speed Meister: And that’s what I call having fun on a playdate. Thank you.
(Cue the thing the Crew was anticipating: the rollercoaster starting to break! Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo are sent flying)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: (screams)
Mr. McTurtle: Whoa!!
(The cart lands on the road)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Woohoo!
Mr. McTurtle: Cool-a-roozy!
(The cart drives off as the Crew come in, looking absolutely terrified for the poor pets’ safety)
River: And that's what I call a huge purr-oblem!
Rubble: We need to save them!
Rubble, Wheeler, Charger, and Mix: (howling)
River: (growling)
(The Crew goes off to save Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle; we cut back to Speed Meister)
Speed Meister; You know, now I'm wondering if I should have attached the tracks to the frame.
(Mayor Greatway gives him an unamused look; he tries to save face)
Speed Meister: It was a simple mistake! Anybody could have forgotten to do that. (sheepish laugh)
(We cut to Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo racing down the road)
Mr. McTurtle: Whee!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Yahoo!
(The cart approaches the car wash station and is promptly soaped up)
Mr. McTurtle: Whoa-a-roozy!
(Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo are left with soap bubbles that look like hair and beards on their faces)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: (laughing)
(Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle shake off the soap bubbles; we cut to Café Carl coming out of his café with ice cream)
Carl: Mmm, I just love ice cr–
(The cart dashes by, taking the ice cream with it)
Carl: Wha-?
(Mr. Ducky-Doo now has the ice cream in his wings)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Oooh!
Mr. McTurtle: Yum-a-roozy!
(We cut to a stoplight turning red; the cart dashes by)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: We just ran a red light, man! Ha! That's another thing off the bucket list!
(The Crew comes in, chasing the cart in their vehicles)
Rubble: This way!
(We fade out for a commercial break. We cut to Truffles about to jump into mud)
Truffles: (joyful oinking)
(The cart dashes by and splashes Truffles with mud)
Mr. McTurtle: Sorry!
Truffles: (oinking)
(The Crew drives by, chasing the cart)
Rubble: Hi, Truffles!
Mix: Bye, Truffles!
(The cart jumps over the ocean)
Mr. McTurtle: Whoa!
(Crunchy the Beaver notices all the commotion while chewing on a stick; he’s shocked as the cart comes by and gains enough momentum to leap over his house)
Mr. McTurtle: WOOHOO!!
(The cart lands in the water and floats off)
Mr. McTurtle: Uh oh…
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Oh man.
(The Crew pulls in)
Charger: Hold on tight! I'll get ya!
(Charger positions his crane near the water)
Charger: Comin' in!
(Charger aims his crane at the cart and misses)
Charger: Gotcha! And I don't gotcha.
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Help!!
(He misses again)
Charger: Oh dang it, missed again!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Whoa!!
(Charger misses yet again)
Charger: Oh come on! (sighs) I don't think I can get ya.
Mix: I have an idea! I can push them to the other side of the river.
(Mix sets off to do just that; she positions herself near the cart)
Mix: Ready? (the sprayer charges up) Aim! GO!!
(The sprayer launches water at the cart and makes it spin around)
Mr. McTurtle: Whoa-a-roozy!
Mix: Crap! That didn't work either!
Mr. McTurtle: HELP!!
Wheeler: They're floating away! I repeat! They're floating away!
Charger: We need to scoop them up fast!
River: Charger, you're a genius! We can scoop them with the best construction scooper we know!
The Crew except Rubble: RUBBLE!!
Rubble: Woohoo! 🎵 I can do something super-duper, because I'm a great scooper!🎵 (chuckles)
(Rubble sets off)
River: You got this, buddy!
Charger: Go, Rubble!
(Rubble stops his bulldozer and prepares the scoop up the cart)
Rubble: Rubble on the double! Here… we… go!!
(And even THAT plan fails after much buildup because he misses)
Rubble: Gotcha! …Crap! Don't gotcha!
(He misses again)
Rubble: Now I gotcha! No I don't! Okay! One more try! I can do this!
(Rubble focuses himself, aims his scoop… and FINALLY grabs the cart, saving Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle!)
The Crew: (cheering, howling, and meowing)
Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle: YEAH!!
(The cart is let back down to the ground)
Mr. McTurtle: Phew-a-roozy!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Never have I been more happy to be back on land!
Rubble: Safe and sound and on the ground!
(The rest of the Crew pull in)
Mix: Way to go, Rubble!
Wheeler: That was pawsome!
Rubble, Mix, Charger, and Wheeler: (howling and honking their horns)
River: (growls)
(We pan back to Mayor Greatway and Speed Meister at the beach)
Greatway: Oh me, oh my. I hope they're okay!
Speed Meister: So… some playdate, huh? (chuckles) We should get our pets together more often!
Greatway: Oh, really?
Speed Meister: Fiiiine. And next time, I won't build anything for them to play with.
Greatway: (chuckles) Now you're talking.
River: (offscreen) SPECIAL DELIVERY!
(The Crew come back)
Greatway: Oh, look! Here comes the Crew with our pets!
(Mayor Greatway and Speed Meister come over to the Crew, where Rubble has the cart in his bulldozer)
Mr. McTurtle: Yay-a-roozy!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Woohoo!
Rubble: Anyone missing a duck and a turtle friend? (laughs)
(Rubble lowers the shovel with the cart in it)
Greatway: Well, we're lucky to have you guys come to save the day!
(Mayor Greatway and Speed Meister pick up their respective buddies)
Greatway: Mr. Ducky-Doo, I'm so glad you're okay!
Speed Meister: Oh, who's my favorite turtle helper? You are!
Mr. McTurtle: Yup-a-roozy!
Speed Meister: Yes indeed, you're my favorite turtle helper!
The Crew: Awwww!
Speed Meister: Yes you are!
Greatway and Mr. Ducky-Doo: Awwww!
Speed Meister: You're my favorite turtle helper!
Mr. McTurtle: Awwww, shucks!
(Speed Meister realizes what everyone else is doing and blushes)
Speed Meister: (embarrassed chuckle) Ah, Mr. McTurtle! I'm sorry the playdate was a bust.
Rubble: Don't worry! We're ready to build a new rollercoaster for you!
Wheeler: A safe-but-fun one, in fact!
Speed Meister: Yeah, yeah, I know… safer is better. Fine, I'll take mine down.
Charger: Hey Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle! We're gonna make sure you have the most fun playdate ever!
Mr. McTurtle: Yeah!
Mr. Ducky-Doo: Alright!
Rubble: Come on, fam! Let's make this our most fun build ever!
Mix, Wheeler, and Charger: How do we do that?
River: It's easy! We're gonna do the Builder Bounce Dance!
Wheeler: Oooh!
Mix: That sounds pawsome!
Charger: Yeah, yeah!
Rubble: Okay, crew! Let's… bow-wow build! Hit it, River!
(We pan over to River turning on the radio in her bulldozer/airplane hybrid, starting up Bounce and Build!)
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Measure it twice!🎵
The Crew: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Gonna make it look nice!🎵
Wheeler: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! It's tool pack time!🎵
Rubble, Mix, River, and Charger: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Yeah, love that rhyme!🎵
Charger: 🎵 Drill that screw!🎵
Mix, Wheeler, and River: 🎵 That's what you do!🎵
Mix: 🎵 Ready! Aim! GO!🎵
Rubble, Charger, Wheeler, and River: 🎵 So show… us what… you knooooo-whoa-ooooow!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
The Crew: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 Love to build all day long! Bounce and build!🎵
The Crew, Mr. Ducky-Doo, and Mr. McTurtle: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
River: 🎵 That's why we sing this song!🎵
The Crew: Awwww, yeah!
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! We're almost done!🎵
Mr. McTurtle and Mr. Ducky-Doo: 🎵 Bounce, bounce!🎵
The Crew: 🎵 Building is fuuuuuun! Bounce, bounce!🎵
Wheeler: Yeah!
River: Wooooo!
Charger: (laughing)
Mix: That was fun!
(We pan over to the completed rollercoaster; Mr. Ducky-Doo and Mr. McTurtle are already seated)
Mr. Ducky-Doo: This is gonna be awesome!
Mr. McTurtle: You said it-a-roozy!
(We pan over to Wheeler and Rubble)
Rubble: You sure you don't wanna join us, River?
River: (offscreen) Yeah, I'm good!
Rubble: Alright! Okay, everybody, let's roll!
(River pushes the lever and starts the rollercoaster; the Crew howls as it goes up the hill)
Speed Meister: Um, there's something I forgot to mention… I'm, um, kind of a teensy bit scared of rollercoasters!
Greatway: It's okay, Speedy. Just hold my hand, okay? We'll ride this together!
Speed Meister: Thank you!
(Speed Meister holds on to Mayor Greatway’s hand as the rollercoaster reaches the top of the hill)
Mr. McTurtle: Yup-a-roozy!
(The rollercoaster goes down)
All except River: (cheering and laughing)
Rubble: Hey, fam! Let's celebrate with a rollercoaster Wiggle n’ Wag! River, you can join us from the ground!
(A split-screen begins, with the rollercoaster on the right side and River doing the Wiggle n' Wag dance solo on the left side)
Rubble: 🎵 We built a rollercoaster!🎵
The Crew: 🎵 Rubble and Crew!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 And it's puptastic!🎵
The Crew: 🎵 That's what we DO!🎵
(The rollercoaster continues on as the episode ends)
