(The title card with River, Charger, and Rubble fades in)
Motor: (reading the title) The Crew Builds Motor a Play Space!
(The episode starts with Wheeler rushing in)
Wheeler: I can't believe it! It's actually the day! I'm so, so, so excited! Gotta get everything clean and ready!
(Charger and Rubble come in, picking up a magnet and a spring with their mouths. Charger carries his magnet over to a box with another magnet on it and tosses it in)
Charger: There we go! All the magnets are cleaned up!
(Mix and River toss in magnets as well)
Mix: And in the box, nice and organized.
(We hear a spring rebounding in the background)
River: Wha-?
(Rubble comes in and tosses a spring into the spring box)
Rubble: And the springs are… (plays with one) boing, boing, boing, boing! In the crate. (laughing) The Bark Yard’s looking clean, eh cuz?
(We see Wheeler in the midst of a Zoom-Zoom-Zoomie)
Wheeler: I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so, so…
Rubble: (chuckles) Eh, cuz?
Wheeler: Oh! Wha-? Huh? Hey, cuz! (chuckles) Sorry, it's just… My best pal, Inspector Inez, is coming today. (shows a picture of a canary dressed like an inspector) And I'm…
The Crew except Wheeler: So, so excited?
Wheeler: Yeah! How did you know?
All: (laughing)
Wheeler: We need to finish cleaning up so the Bark Yard is perfect for her inspection!
Mix: Because a clean construction yard…
Wheeler: Is a safe construction yard, and if we pass her inspection, we'll get the Golden Star!
Rubble: We're almost ready, Wheeler!
River: The Golden Star is as good as…
(THUD!!)
Motor: BOOM!!
The Crew: Ehhhh?!
(We cut to the source; it's Motor!)
Motor: Ready, set… BOOM!! (knocks down spray cans with her sledgehammer) BANG!! (knocks down buckets) And CRASH!! (knocks down paint buckets) (howls and laughs)
(While the whole Crew is looking on in horror, we zoom in on Wheeler specifically)
Wheeler: Uh oh. I forgot about our little fireball, Motor! She loves to smash things with that super-powerful sledgehammer of hers!
Charger: And that makes a super big mess!
Wheeler: How are we gonna stop her from…?
(We pan over to Motor making more paint cans fall over)
Motor: BOOM!! SMASH!! KABOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!!
(The force of Motor’s hammering makes the Crew fall over)
Wheeler: …smashing things?
Rubble: We just need to keep her busy… and I know exactly who can play with Motor while we finish cleaning up the Bark Yard! She just came in for a visit from Adventure City, and she's totally down to play!
The Crew: LIBERTY!
(We transition to Liberty parking her motorcycle near the Bark Yard entrance)
Liberty: LIBERTY IN DA HOUSE!! (laughs) So, what's up, crew?
Rubble: We need you to huddle up with us so we can discuss something.
(Liberty and the Crew huddle into a circle)
Rubble: Here's the plan. We've got a bit of a fireball as a part of the family, and she likes to smash things.
Liberty: Okay…
Rubble: We need you to play with her so we can finish cleaning up the Bark Yard.
Liberty: Oh, totally! Yeah, I can do that!
Wheeler: Oh, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! Um, one question, Liberty. Would your idea of games happen to make a…
Liberty: Mess? (chuckles) Don't worry, Wheeler. If we end up making a mess, we can clean it up.
Rubble: Alright guys, let's split up!
(The Crew and Liberty split from the huddle)
Liberty: Okay Motor! Whoever you are, prepare to get Libertied!
Pups: (howling)
River: (growls)
(The Crew run off to clean the Bark Yard; we transition to Motor making faces in a balloon and giggling; Liberty is holding the balloons with her sticky-grabber tool from her pup pack)
Liberty: Alright, lil guy, the goal of this game is to keep all the balloons in the air by tapping them!
Motor: Yeah! Yeah! YEAH!!
Liberty: Alright Motor, I hear ya! What’cha say?
Motor: LET'S PLAY!!
(Liberty tosses the balloons in the air and starts the game; Motor bounces one of them on her head)
Motor: Got it! (bounces another balloon) Got that one! (laughs and bounces yet another balloon) Got that one too! (Bounces yet another balloon and laughs)
(Motor dashes off and bounces another balloon, laughing once more. She pursues another balloon and continues to keep it up in the air)
Motor: Hey, this is fun! I like tapping balloons!
(Motor grins deviously and deploys her sledgehammer)
Motor: But I love smashing balloons even more! BOOM!!
(She smashes a balloon)
Motor: BANG!!
(She smashes another balloon. She spins around and smashes the other two balloons)
Motor: MEGA BOOM!! Ahhh, it's so fun going boom.
(Liberty now has a popped balloon part on her head)
Liberty: (weakly laughs) Yikes, my dude. (chuckles) Ah, man.
(We transition back to the Crew continuing to clean up the Bark Yard; balloon pieces start raining)
Rubble: Raining balloon pieces? That doesn't happen every day. 🎵 Oh yeah! Oh yeah!🎵 Boogie in the rain! Of… balloon… pieces. Raining balloon pieces?!
(Wheeler comes in with his WheelerVac)
Wheeler: And we were so close to finishing it!
(Motor comes in)
Motor: Sorry, guys. I was having too much fun and I smashed the balloons.
Liberty: Awww. That's okay, Motor. Hey, why don't we clean these pieces? I've got other things in my motorcycle you can play with, and I'm pretty sure there's no way you can smash them.
(We transition to Liberty holding up a tennis ball with her sticky-grabber)
Liberty: Here's the game: I'll throw these balls, and you can chase them! What’cha say, Motor?
Liberty and Motor: LET'S PLAY!
(Liberty tosses the ball at the wall, and it ricochets around)
Motor: (giggling and barking) I gotcha!
(The ball rolls off)
Motor: Come back! I love this game!
(Liberty smirks and throws more balls)
Motor: (giggling)
(A blue ball lands near Motor)
Motor: But not as much as I love…
(Motor deploys her sledgehammer again)
Liberty: No! Don't you do it!
Motor: Smashing! BOOM!!
(Motor hits the ball with her sledgehammer and deflates it)
Liberty: I was sure you couldn't smash these tennis balls!
Motor: CRASH!!
(Motor deflates another ball and chases the red ball; Wheeler and Rubble run after her as she smashes is)
Motor: BANG!!
Wheeler: Not again!
(Motor chases a yellow ball in the background)
Wheeler: Flat tennis ball alert!
Motor: SMASH!!
(The deflated yellow ball flies in)
Rubble: Well, Motor certainly smashed the ball out of these tennis balls. (chuckles) We hardly knew ye.
Wheeler: Liberty, if Motor keeps smashing everything, we'll never get this place clean for the inspection!
Liberty: I mean, well, fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, and Motor… well, she gotta smash!
(Motor smashes a red ball and prepares to chase a blue one)
Motor: Gotta go BOOM!!
Liberty: What I'm tryna say is, sometimes she just can't fight it. Just like I can't fight the urge to rage on the roads. I'm gonna need to think of something she can smash that we can easily clean up. (realizes something) Hey, hold it! I have an idea! Motor, walk this way!
(Liberty marches offscreen; Motor follows her)
Wheeler: Here's hoping it works, because Inez will be here soon! And we've only got one commercial break.
(Fade out for a commercial break. We fade back in to Motor approaching a Jenga-esque block tower; Liberty uses her sticky-grabber to add the final block)
Liberty: Okay Motor! Smash away!
Motor: Yaaaaaaayyy!!
(Motor deploys her sledgehammer again)
Motor: BOOM!!
(Motor knocks down the block tower)
Motor: Again, again, again, again!
Liberty: You can smash this as many times as ya need, lil’ guy! This mess is easy to clean and stack back up!
(We fade to the block tower rebuilt)
Motor: BANG!!
(Motor once again knocks down the block tower and creates a dust cloud)
Liberty: Whoa! (laughs)
Motor: Can I do it again?
Liberty: Yeah!
(The block tower is rebuilt again; Motor smashes it again)
Motor: BOOM!! Again, please!
(The block tower is rebuilt again; Motor smashes it again)
Liberty: Go Motor! Go Motor! Go, go, go Motor!
Motor: YEAH!! Let's do it again!
(The block tower is rebuilt again; Motor smashes it again)
Liberty: You go, girl! Yeah!
Motor: Again, again, again!
Liberty: (chuckles) Hoo! I did not plan on getting a workout today, I'm not gonna lie.
(The block tower is rebuilt again; Motor smashes it again… but this time she almost hits the crates!)
Motor: Again! Again! Again!
Liberty: Whoa, Motor! Stop! Don't hit those crates!
(And Motor promptly hits the crates!)
Motor: BOOM!! Uh oh…
(We cut to Wheeler using the WheelerVac to clean up one more balloon piece)
Wheeler: There we go! The entire Bark Yard is finally clean for Inez!
(Springs, magnets, and crate pieces scatter around; Motor and Liberty come back in)
Motor: I ruined it, didn't I? I'm so sorry…
Wheeler: (saddened sigh)
Liberty: I don't think she meant to do it, guys. I think Motor thought the crates were part of the smashing game I made for her.
Motor: (sighs) If you guys don't want me to smash things again, I guess I can stop…
(Wheeler and River come in)
Wheeler: It's okay, Motor.
River: Mm-hmm. We know you like to smash things. I just wish it didn't make such a mess…
(Rubble comes in)
Rubble: Hey, cuz, don't worry. There's always a construction solution!
Motor: Yeah, I know. (chuckles)
Rubble: Until we figure one out, we should probably clean up before the inspection!
(Rubble picks up a magnet that attracts a spring; Mix comes in)
Mix: Wait! Rubble, that's it! Our construction solution might be in front of our noses!
Rubble: (muffled) Really?
Mix: (giggles) Look! The springs are made of metal, so they stick to the magnets.
Rubble, Wheeler, Charger, River, Motor, and Liberty: Whoa!
Mix: Wouldn't it be cool iiiiiiif… we built Motor a play space out of these magnets and springs? Then they would just pop back together when Motor knocks them down!
Rubble: So she can smash them again and again, like… BOOM!! Blam! Boi-oi-oi-oi-oing! Bloob! (laughs) Mix, you are one smart pup!
Mix: (laughs)
Liberty: Took the words right outta my mouth! And the best part is that the mess cleans itself!
All: (laughing)
Rubble: We better bow-wow build before Inez gets here! Wait! Better idea… let's bounce and build! Wanna join us, Liberty?
Liberty: I'd love to!
(Motor goes to hide in her doghouse; we transition to Liberty turning on a boombox, starting up Bounce and Build!)
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Measure it twice!🎵
All: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Gonna make it look nice!🎵
Wheeler: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! It's tool pack time!🎵
Mix and Liberty: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Yeah, love that rhyme!🎵
Charger: 🎵 Drill that screw!🎵
Wheeler, Mix, and River: 🎵 That's what you do!🎵
Mix: 🎵 Ready! Aim! GO!🎵
Rubble, Charger, Wheeler, Liberty, and River: 🎵 Show… us what… you knooooo-whoa-ooooow!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
All: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 Construction all the way! Bounce and build!🎵
All: 🎵 Bounce and build!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 Makes us shout hooray!🎵
All: HOORAY!!
Rubble: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! We're almost done!🎵
All: 🎵 Bounce, bounce! Building is fuuuuuun! Bounce, bounce!🎵
Rubble: Yeah! Alright!
(We transition to the Crew and Liberty all together)
Rubble: Introducing… Motor's Play Space!
(We pan over to the finished product; Motor’s eyes go wide and she gasps in joy)
Liberty: Go get it, Motor!
Motor: Alright! CHAAAAAARGE!!
(Motor dashes to the Play Space, dizzying Rubble and River)
Rubble: Whoa!
All: (laughing)
(Motor deploys her sledgehammer and smashes one of the play space parts; it rumbles and rebuilds itself)
All: Oooooh!
Inez: ‘Scuse me.
Wheeler: INSPECTOR INEZ! SHE'S HERE!!
Liberty: Oh, man! You guys can go, I'll stay with Motor!
(The Crew runs to meet Inspector Inez; Liberty gulps. We cut to a rather deadpan canary dressed as an inspector coming in)
Inez: Anybody home? Hello?
Rubble: RUBBLE AND CREW!!
(The Crew runs in)
Rubble: Reporting for our Bark Yard inspection!
Inez: Remain at ease, fellow builder.
Rubble: Phew!
Wheeler: I think you'll see that everything is clean, which means the Bark Yard is safe for construction!
Inez: We'll see about that…
(Inez runs her wing over a wooden plank)
Inez: Hmm, no sawdust.
(The Crew is nervous)
Inez: Check. Movin’ on.
(Cut to Inez glancing at the Crew’s doghouses (and the one cathouse))
Inez: Sí, sí. Check.
(We cut to Inez at the top of the Bark Yard tower)
Inez: Mm-hmm. Very nice. Check.
(We cut to Inez around the concrete sprayer)
Inez: Okay. Check.
(Cut to Inez glancing at the tool rack)
Inez: Yup. Check.
(Inez looks at the saws)
Inez: Ah, sí. Check.
(Cut to Inez checking off things on her list)
Inez: Check, check, check.
(We transition to Inez approaching the play space; River accidentally bumps into the crew)
Inez: And… check. Quite frankly, Crew, I'm very impressed. I hereby declare that you have passed with…
(A loud smash is heard in the background)
Inez: ¿Qué?
Wheeler: Wait! Wait!! We can explain!! That's just Motor!
(The Crew follows Inez as she sees the play space)
Motor: BOOM!!
(Inez comes in)
Inez: Oh, dear. That's quite the mess you've made. This doesn't exactly look safe for- huh?
(The play space rumbles and rebuilds itself; Inez is stunned, then pleasantly surprised)
Inez: Oh! The mess cleans itself up? That's a technological achievement, I must say.
(The Crew runs in)
Rubble: Yeah!
River: We used magnets and springs for it!
Rubble: Pretty puptastic, isn't it?
Inez: Indeed. Rubble and Crew, this is one of the most clean, safe, and creative construction yards I have ever seen!
The Crew: (howling, barking, meowing, and cheering)
Inez: You have passed the inspection. For your efforts, I am pleased to give you the Golden Star!
(Inez hands it to Wheeler, who takes it with his claw arm tool)
Wheeler: Thank you, Inez! We're incredibly honored to hear of your approval! I'm so happy, I don't even know what to do!
Rubble: I do! Let's celebrate with a Wiggle n' Wag! Come on, Liberty!
(Liberty, Motor, and Inez join the Crew in doing the Wiggle n' Wag)
Rubble: 🎵 We built a play space!🎵
All: 🎵 Rubble and Crew!🎵
Rubble: 🎵 And it's puptastic!🎵
All: 🎵 That's what we DO!🎵
(Motor deploys her sledgehammer again)
Motor: BOOM!!
(Motor smashes the play space again; it rebuilds itself as we fade to black)
